Welcome to Blogmas Day 9!
I made it ….. by the skin of my teeth with today’s project🙂
I still have a few bits n bobs to add to this but it is almost there so thought I would share it as is..
I am at Stampers Grove tomorrow making festive trays with the lovely ladies and this is sample tray No. 2
These trays are perfect for filling with goodies (tea/coffee/biscuits or toiletries/perfume/makeup or even sit a dolly or a big teddy in the middle and wrap up in cellophane with a big bow on top..
I want to add some glittery snowflakes (using the Tim Holtz dies I used earlier in the week) along the outside edges just to finish this off but I will need to do that tomorrow morning.
I’m off to bed now as it is an early start for me in the morning, then I will see you all tomorrow evening for another blogmas project… I’m thinking it might be a gift box😉
As always, I appreciate you coming round

A warm welcome to Blogmas day 7
I mentioned last night that today’s post was going to be a card.. here it is🙂
It is a 4 x 4 card and similar to the one i made the other day, but with this one I tried out my new sizzix 3D embossing folder that I bought at the weekend at Stampers Grove..
It also uses the new Tim Holtz /Sizzix Thinlets snowflake dies that I used the other day too… here is a wee picture of the ones I bought, I am hoping to use the branches dies very soon too..
- White Cardstock 8″ x 4″ and scored at 4″ so when folded makes a 4″ x 4″ card base
- White Cardstock for the top embossed layer
- Sizzix 3D Embossing Folder
- Tim Holtz Alterations Snowflake Die Set
- White Glitter Paper
- Aleene’s Tacky glue
- Scotch Double Sided Foam Tape
- Tim Holtz Chit Chat
- Black Soot Distress Ink
- Small star punch and silver glittered cardstock
I love all the texture in this wee card and it is very white.. almost too white like snow🙂
Oki Doki.. that’s me for another night, back tomorrow with Day 8
As always, thank you for popping round
Welcome to Blogmas Day 6!
Today’s Christmas crafty project is a couple of purple reindeer Glitter and Shimmer🙂
I have made these for Alex at work’s daughter to hang on her wee christmas tree, I made the glittery one first and I think If i was making another glittery one I would give it a base layer of paint the same colour of glitter I was going to cover it with, the reason being, if you look hard enough you can see the paper mache brown shining through… did i mention i got these at hobbycraft reduced to 50p each.. i love a wee bargain
But as this will be going on a Christmas tree I don’t think you will notice it too much..as after the glittery one was finished, I painted the other one with Imagination Crafts Lilac Mist Starlights paint… i like this one better
I forgot to mention that I gave the glittery one a good old spray with Crafters Companion shiny varnish spray to keep the glitter in, as it sheds like crazy
I really need to get my christmas cards made, so tomorrow will be a card post🙂
As always, thank you so much for popping round and I will catch you all tomorrow🙂
A warm welcome to Blogmas day 5.
It is absolutely freezing outside and I had to stick an extra heater on in my shed tonight to warm the place up😀 however the cold spell is due to go away mid week as the jet stream sits above the UK bringing warm air up from the nether regions😉
I have a wee christmas card to share today, I am using my favourite patterned paper and also a new Snowflake Die Set.
- First Edition Christmas Promise 6×6 Patterned paper stack
- Clearly Besotted Merry Christmas stamp
- Tim Holtz Snowflake Die Set
- Versafine Onyx Black Ink
- Stampin Up Dimensional Adhesive
I’m thinking i might just make this my Christmas card for the neighbours this year, I will see how many I can make this weekend😉
As always, thanks for popping round and I will see you all tomorrow
Welcome to Blogmas Day 4
I have a little sparkly votive holder to share with you today, I bought this yesterday when I was through at Stampers Grove teaching a workshop…
Here is the before picture
and here is the finished project, I gave it a couple of coats of Imagination Crafts Starlights Paint in a gorgeous purple Lilac Mist, now purple is not a go to colour for me, but at the class yesterday one of the lovely ladies Robyn used a purple on her project and it was lovely, so this was my inspiration for today’s project🙂
I shall see you tomorrow for more crafty fun, as always thanks for popping round
Welcome to Blogmas Day 3
I have had a super busy day today, my day started off with a workshop at Stampers Grove in Edinburgh, followed by late lunch with the boys, a couple of hours housework and then I headed up the garden to my shed to make things🙂
If you remember last week I featured Tags and Cards that were gilded with gilding flakes to make them look that wee bit special… well today I thought I would share some tree ornaments that I gilded too.
I took a paper mache reindeer and a glass clip on bird and turned them into lovely ornaments.. here are a couple of before and after pictures
Glass Clip on Bird (it’s hard to see against the background.. I tried a few but they all looked the same🙂
I used Cosmic Shimmer Flake and Glitter Glue as my adhesive and also some gilding flakes Chocolate Box and Yorkshire Dales.
Here is the Reindeer with his new coat
and the wee bird
and the two together
I hope you enjoyed today’s Christmas ornaments, these two will be added to my tree once it goes up🙂
I hope to see you tomorrow for day 4, and thanks so much for popping in today.
