Product Review : White Card

I bought some Premium Quality Smooth White Card online a couple of days ago and it arrived today.    It is such fantastic quality that I just had to do a product review and share my new find with you all 🙂

It is the Premier Quality Smooth White Card from Personal Impressions Product Code PIWCARD, you get 10 sheets of A4 smooth card with a thickness of 250 gsm, I have already stamped with it, coloured it with Copics.   I have used TH Distress ink on it spritzed with water and I have even made my hubby do a paper touchy feely test and he picked it as being far superior than it’s competition…

The test I gave him….  I cut 2 squares of paper one was the new PI Paper and the other was Stampin Up! Whisper White Card Stock, results below 😉

Personal Impressions

  • Weight :                                              250 gsm
  • Paper Colour :                               Brilliant White
  • Feel :                                                 Really Smooth
  • Thickness :                                             Thick
  • Marks out of 10 :                                10/10

Stampin Up!

  • Weight :                                           218 gsm
  • Paper Colour :                                 Off white
  • Feel :                                 Smooth but slightly grainy
  • Thickness :                                  Not as thick
  • Marks out of 10:                                6/10

Even this wee snowman loves the new paper… he’s grooving away to  Ah… Ah…Ahh.. Ahhhh Stayin  Alive…  😉

Hahaha….!    ok now i’ve lost the plot completely 🙂    The snowman was stamped on the fab new paper and placed on top of the dull Stampin Up Whisper White Cardstock .

Sweet / Treat’s Bag

Supplies used :-

  • A strip of cardstock measuring 12″ x 4″
  • My Minds Eye Wonderful Winter Glittered Papers
  • Red Satin Ribbon 15mm
  • Corner Rounder Punch
  • Small circle punch
  • Small blue button
  • Stix2 Glue Dots to adhere red card circle and button
  • 1 x cello bag chopped down to fit
  • Papermania with thanks stamp
  • Red Cardstock for tag and button backer.
  • Sweeties to fill bag
  • Red marabou floss to tie on the tag.
  • Stix2 high tack permanent tape roller.

1. When you have cut your paper/cardstock to 12″ x 4″,   turn it over to the reverse side and score it at 4″,  6″ and finally another at 10″

2. Fold the paper along the scores to assemble the sweet bag.

3. I then used the corner rounder punch on the front tab of the sweet bag, then stuck it down with a permanent tape adhesive.

4. Take a round small punch and cut a semi circle on the top edge of the bag to allow the cello bag to pop through.

5. I then filled my cello bag with sweets,  twisted the top and popped it inside the bag and up through the newly cut circle in the top.

6. Now its time to decorate the bag, I tied some lovely red satin ribbon around the top, made a small with thanks tag and applied a button to the front of the sweet bag…

7. It’s now good to go 🙂  You can decorate these wee bags as much or as little as you like, they’re just a fab idea

I got my inspiration for this bag from a video tutorial over at the Jennifer McGuire Ink blog
