Heather Thank You Card and The Hat Pin Experiment

Today’s card is using some of the gorgeous purple  mulberry heather stems that I got from Wild Orchid Crafts an of course more scraps from my scrap bag 🙂

Supplies List :-

  • White ribbed cardstock from the paper mill shop
  • American Crafts Black textured Cardstock
  • Bazzill Textured Purple Gemstone Cardstock
  • Technique Tuesday Thank You Stamp
  • Versafine Onyx Black Ink
  • Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Black Soot
  • Heather Stems from Wild Orchid Crafts
  • Corner Chomper 1/4″
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Scotch ATG700 Adhesive

Then in the same box that the Heather stems were in I found a pack of hat pins that I’d forgotten I had!   So I pondered what I could do with them…

I took some Adirondak Alcohol Ink in Aqua and put a few drops onto the beads and allowed to dry, then I covered it in Ranger Glossy Accents, then dipped it in Diamond Dust, now i’m just waiting for the glue to dry and i’ll attach some nice beads underneath

  2. Hi Nancy…

I ordered some for you 1 x pack of pink and 1 x pack of lilac (10 in each), they are not expensive, they should arrive any day now and once they are here they will leave at the weekend in your wee parcel 🙂

  3. The diamond dusted pin is so sparkly and pretty! It would look beautiful on any project!
The heather is just gorgeous! I don’t think I’ve ever seen it quite like that before. I’ve seen dried heather. How does this one compare to real heather? I’d really love to know! The card is so lovely Sarah! 🙂

    • Hi Nancy…

Thanks for the comments on the pins, theyre still not quite finished, probably get them completed this weekend 🙂

I love the heather too, I got this from Wild Orchid Crafts, I guess for a mulberry flower it’s very similar-ish to heather, I love this so much that i’ll be ordering more from them on pay day 🙂 so if you want me to pick some up for you just give me a shout xx
