“A Crafter Must Know’s” Tag

I was in my workshop tonight putting the finishing touches to a 4 x 4 mini kit swap that i’m doing with Kate from Youtube and also blethered for a while with Deb on Skype. Β  Time ran away with me a bit, and I wanted to make something tonight for the blog πŸ™‚

I’m addicted to painting at the moment, and wondered what I could make kinda quickish…

I had die cut out a load of tags the other night and they were handy so I grabbed one of those and started to paint πŸ˜€

I put a coat of gesso on and then a mixture of paints, stuck some newspaper & flowers down with gel medium… et voila πŸ˜‰

Supplies List :-

  • Daler & Rowney White Gesso
  • Folkart Apple Butter Brown Acrylic Paint
  • Folkart Taffy Cream Acrylic Paint
  • Donna Salazar Crafty News Print Newspaper Clippings
  • Daler & Rowney Gel Medium in gloss
  • Kaisercraft Pink Mulberry flower
  • Prima E.Line Pearl
  • Paintbrushes
  • Heat Gun to dry the layers of paint
  • Tim Holtz Black Soot Distress Ink around the edges of the news clippings, flowers and the tag edges.

  2. This is a great tag Sarah! Is this the Sizzix die with the 3 tags on it? I forget what it’s called. In the photo it looks like it would be a really big one but I don’t think it is, right? I love what you’ve done. Another very cool artsy project! πŸ™‚
