  1. Hi Sarah, how super nice of you to do this, I sure wish we had Papermania here in Canada. Anytime I see it here on the tube I just love it. I have become a follower ( I think:)? I am a bit challenged LOL).

My favorite Christmas decoration is an old small round blue christmas light bulb. While I was growin up we had one string of lights and on this string of lights was a blue bulb that blinked….it was the only one that blinked out of the whole strand. Every year we would plug them in and all hold our breath while hoping it was still blinking. Well that lasted for about 25 years, I am NOT kidding!! finally a few years ago it finally stopped blinking and really the whole strand had to be put out to ‘pasture πŸ™‚ but I took the one blinky blue bulb out and have it stashed away to make a very special ornament. It is funny that really is the only decoration out of all of the years that each of us in the family cherished. My brother still asks about it and he is almost 50!!
    Thanks a bunch!! take care.
    Valerie

  2. Hi Sarah,
Have been following your videos on You Tube for some time and love the ideas you have.
My favourite christmas tree decoration is a clear bauble which opens up to allow a different ornament to be put inside each time. I always let the children choose which ornament goes in each year, so it’s never the same twice.

  3. Sarah–What a wonderful collection. It really gets the creative juices flowing. Thanks for the chance to get my hands on these goodies.
My favourite decoration is the little doll angel my two daughters made when they were very young. It is a little worse for wear now but I would not change a thing about her.

  4. every year we brake out the tree and open our card board box full of individual boxes of Disney ornaments. All 3 of us start opening the boxes one by one and start hanging the decorations on the tree. My husband likes
Pocahontas, and places her at the front of the tree…. then me and my daughter remove her and place her round the side, to place our favourite Tigger where Pocahontas was positioned. Every year we play this game , we hide Pocahontas and place Tigger on prime view when hubby’s not looking. We have collected the Disney ornaments since my daughter was born she’s now 17. and every year we love getting all 50+ of them out of there boxes ready to grace our tree and recalling fondly each cheeky little character.

  5. Hi Sarah !
Oh it’s a really hard question ’cause when it’s about Christmas I’m kind of crazy… and I use to work in a interior design shop for a few year: I use to buy new decoration EVERY year !!! But I think (one of) my favourite is the glass ball, with water and snow, or glitter inside (don’t know the word in english :/) I use to shake them… euh… every time I pass by, it means maybe 10 times a day ! I love it, it’s so cute, and makes me dreams…
Thanks for the chance to win…
    XOXO from across the seas

  6. Very pretty papers. I vowed not to buy any Christmas paper this year and use what I have, but winning some doesn’t count right πŸ™‚
Every year I make my 3 daughters a different Christmas ornament. I think my favourites are the ones I made last year. They are glass ornaments, coloured with alchol inks and then cut out their initial out on sicky vinyl. http://tracystreasures-tracy.blogspot.com/2010/01/this-is-test.html If you want to see them check them out on my blog.

  7. You are so sweet Sarah! Gorgeous paper, you have such great taste! I would say my favourite Christmas decoration would be the one my parents got hubby and I our first Christmas as newlyweds. That was 18 Christmases ago and it’s still a special event each year when we put it on our tree hand-in-hand. It’s always the last decoration just before we turn on the Christmas lights. I do love all of the handmade decorations that the children have made over the years, those are very, very special as well. They are all treasures! Christmas is such a special time! Thanks for a chance to win Sarah. Hugs to you, Robyn xx

  8. Hi Sarah,

wow … such a lovely giveaway! It’s hard to believe that Christmas is right around the corner … but we actually had a bit of snow here yesterday, so I guess it’s not that far off. I love decorating for Christmas and when I moved out on my own I was very lucky ’cause my mom gave me my favourite ornament from as long back as I can remember to take to my new place. It’s a little wooden manger that my grandpa bought for my first Christmas. Every year we’d clear off a spot on the end table in the living room so you’d be able to see it whenever you came in the house and now it has a place of honor in my home. It’s very simple, but I love it!

    hugs,
    Laura

  9. Hi Sarah,

    Hugs, Tammy

    • I’ve done did lost it…. LOL!!! I forgot to answer the christmas decoration question…. lol. I do something special with christmas tree decorations every year. We only buy 1 new ornament a year. My hubby started this for me when we where first engaged he bought me a heart shaped ornament with a bear on it. So every year I pick out one to represent the whole year, ex. a house ornament when we moved to our new house, a baby in a wagon when my son was born and so and so on. Hubby and I have been together for 14 years, so Our treee looks a little sparse now, but in 50 years it will look amazing LOL. Thanks again

  10. So very kind of you to present a lucky person with such wonderful gifts!! Christmas IS around the corner, and they will definitely make someone very happy…and equipped with the necessary for the upcoming holiday season :o)

Right after my dad left home, we all went through a dark period of time. Then it came the Christmas season, and we decided that were going to make it a happy time. We went to a Christmas sale and bought a few snowmen ornaments for our little tree. Prior to that Christmas, and following dad’s rules, Christmas were quiet, eventless, and – I dare to say – sad. Not since then. It’s a jolly time!, filled with warmth and hope. Every time we get those snowmen out, it reminds us that we are strong, and were able to get out of the dark hole, into the bright world.

    Have a wonderful day!!

  11. My favorite Christmas ornament is the Humpty Dumpty that hangs on my mom’s tree because is is my very first Christmas ornament. I can remember trying to find the perfect spot to place it on the tree when I was younger, just a wonderful keepsake that i’m glad my mom has held onto.

  23. Hi Sarah – lovely giveaway. I’m already a follower so that’s the first part sorted. My favourite decoration was one I brought back from the states, a white swan from Boston where they have swan shaped boats on the lake in the garden. I spent a year at a college just outside Boston and my mother flew out to the college for 2 weeks holiday so we went shopping in Boston, as you do, and that’s when I bought it. Mum had never been out of the country in her 60+ years, hadn’t even had a passport till then! Sadly she died 4 years ago but when I get this decoration out each year I am reminded of that brilliant year and how she loved to regail everyone of her holiday in America. Thanks for the question. Elizabeth

  24. Sarah, what a delicious prize. I have been a follower for a while, just starting to join in more.

My favorite Christmas decoration is my hand blown glass bulbs that were past down from my Nans mother. The were born and raised in Ireland.
Nan’s Mom made them herself. Just beautiful.

Thank you for this awesome contest!

  25. Just newly subscribed, having found your blog after you favourited one of my videos. My favourite Christmas tree decoration is one I’ve made a few of myself – you probably know it – a polystyrene egg pin-covered with folded triangles of Christmas material squares to make a fir cone.

I love to hang all my little decorations on a silver bare-branch shape – must look out a photo of it and will post on my blog at getcreative-thinkz.blogspot.com – do you have a banner I can place there on my blog roll?

  26. I already subscribe to your blog! You know that… πŸ™‚ My most memorable Christmas decoration was a snowman that my husband had made on his lathe–he actually surprised me! Thanks for a chance to win those beautiful Christmas decorations! πŸ™‚

  27. *gasp* Oh Sarah!! What a wonderful prize! I’m already a subscriber, of course! πŸ™‚
As for my favorite tree decoration…that would be ALL OF THEM!! lol I only hang ornaments on my tree that have a special memory attached or are a gift from someone special! Many of them are handmade by my girls when they were little, by my Mom, other relatives, or me. Others have been special gifts with stories behind them.
What a fantastic idea for a draw! I’ll have to come back and check out all the other entries! Thank you very much Sarah! πŸ™‚

  28. Hey Sarah!

Hope its not too cold up there today! Its been sunny but cold again down here in Wales!

I think my favourite christmas decoration has got to be one my mum had of a big round santa which was traditional rather than cartoon like and it has airbrushed rosy cheeks and a red velvet suit! It’s one I always look for on the tree every christmas!
