“Twas the Night Before Christmas” Tree Decoration

Hurrah… back in the workshop tonight, i’ve been m.i.a. for a bit my hubby picked up some awful virus that floored him and I’ve been doing my nursey bit 😉

My workshop is in dire need of a good tidy up… but after standing ironing for 6 hours today, I just couldnt face it!

Tonight’s creation was made entirely out of bits n bobs that were lying around my desk 🙂

Its a hanging decoration, this will be going on my Christmas tree next month

It all started with a wee bit of bare chipboard…. one third of a page of a $1 chipboard mini album

I coated the chipboard piece with Light green Acrylic Paint, dried it with the heat tool, then I mixed the two paints below to create a top coat 🙂

The I used the following supplies to finish it off :-

  • Tag chipboard Mini Album – 1 page cut down to 1/3rd
  • Reeves Titanium White Acrylic Paint
  • Reeves Light Green Acrylic Paint
  • Ranger Diamond Stickles
  • Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Shabby Shutters
  • Tim Holtz Blending Tool
  • Prima Flower from the Wildflower Pillar Pack Mixed
  • Wild Orchid Crafts Green Foundation Roses 10mm
  • Ranger Glossy Accents
  • Tim Holtz Swivel Clasp
  • Cropodile & Eyelet
  • Corner Chomper
  • Papermania Holographic Embossing Powder
  • Paintbrushes & Jam Jar of Water
  • Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Ink

  1. Sarah, hey it is an addiction. 😀
We went to Ontario then Quebec, Canada. My family is there. We travel before winter, but if the winter goes easy we will head back for Christmas.

  2. Yay!! You got crafty tonight! I just sent you a message and then found this! This ornament is so wonderful Sarah! It will sparkle beautifully in the lights on your tree! I love the shape of it…and the color too! Such pretty flowers! 🙂

    • Hi Nancy 🙂 I did it… I managed a wee while in the workshop and created something 🙂

I think your right, with all the holographic embossing powder and stickles it will shine beautifully on the tree!
