A Thanks Card.. Some Birdsong and Santa

Hurraaaaahhh!!! The Papermania Birdsong Range is in the shops 😀  I picked up this pack on my way home from my Sons hospital appointment today and I also got the vintage looking santa stamp for £1.99 half the normal price 🙂

This is what the paper pack looks like, I bought the 6 x 6 size for my cardmaking, but they have some gorgeous stamps and embelishments to accompany the range.  p.s. uploading a video onto youtube showing the gorgeous papers off and a sizzix haul.

I love this vintage santa.. it will look nice on tags, cards and various other project for christmas 2011

Tonights card shape is a bit of an experiment, and it half turned out ok, I need to work on my technique me thinks 🙂 the top fold of the card looks awful, I had thought about either cutting the embossed bits out, or covering it with ribbon or fibre, we’ll see I’ll sleep on it 😉

  • Papermania Birdsong 6 x 6 patterned paper
  • K & Company Que Sera Sera Stamp Set “Thanks”
  • Prima Flower and Pearl

  1. I don’t know if we get that paperline in the states. I love the vintage Santa and the paper! Your card is really cute, too! How’s the weather there? We have snow and it’s bitter cold!!!

    1. Hi Kelly… Hows things with you 🙂

I dont think this paper range is available in the US or Canada, the vintage santa is lovely, just couldnt resist him.

Our weather has been ok lately, the local council came around today and shovelled up all the icy snow from the pavements and roadside and took it all away in a truck, temperatures are getting better too 10 degrees today 🙂

Hope you dont get too much snow, stay warm and safe

  2. Hi Sarah, the paper looks gorgeous and your thank you card is great. I think a bunch of fibres would do the trick for the top, disguising the area missing because of the fold. Love the vintage Santa – he’s a real beauty. right, I’m off to watch your video so I can get a better look at those papers. Elizabeth x

    1. Hi Elizabeth…

The papers are gorgeous! but the video still has another 20 mins to go before it has finished uploading 🙂

Love the Santa stamp too… he has a real vintage feel about him, think your right about the card, I thought fibres too xx

  3. Now why did you have to go and show that? Now I want it! This is such a beautiful paper collection! 🙂 Your card is really lovely Sarah, I love how you used the Nestie as the base and added the different coordinating layers – you are such a clever gal! xxxx

    1. Oh Robyn this paper collection is gorgeous, if you cant get any over there give me a shout and i’ll pick one up for you and mail it over…

I need to work on cutting the initial card shape out, might use a sizzix bigz die next time, as I think the paper was too thick for the nestie and it embossed the card at the same time, hence the lines… either that or I get my bone folder and deboss from the inside of the card 😉

Thanks so much for popping in x
