Shabby Chic Stepper Card

I picked up a copy of the Docrafts Creativity Magazine at my local garden centre when I stopped in there today to pick up sawdust for mucking out the animals tomorrow 🙂

So whilst I was on my way home (hubby driving) I flicked through the mag, just looking at the pictures (as you do lol) and there was a card there that caught my eye straight away.. a step card, now whilst there were no dimensions given in the mag, once I got home and headed up to the workshop, I kinda figured out my own as I went along.

I took a piece of 12 x 12 Cardstock and cut it down to 12″ x 4″, then I scored it at 4″, 8″ & 10″ and thats the basis for this card…

I love this shape of card, probably because I;ve never made one with these dimensions before 🙂

I used Bazzill textured cardstock for the base in a lovely shade of olive green

The patterned paper & diecut ephemera are from the Butterfly Garden Range by Pink Paislee.. I absolutely adore this shabby chic feel paper ..

Some beautiful 1920’s soft pink vintage seam binding….

Topped off by a little ephemera piece and a delicate pink rose from Wild Orchid Crafts 🙂

  1. Beautiful Sarah! So delicate, and I love your interpretation – that’s what you do best. I have templates for side stepper and shutter cards that I will send you with your SU order :).

    Love, Helen xx
