Christmas Candy Jars

I bought these 2 jars of Fruit Pastilles a couple of weeks back to put in the kids christmas stocking this year, but they looked rather plain, so I took them up to the shed this afternoon, altered the lids and created matching tags for them πŸ™‚

First up was the jar for my son John… He is 17 so I chose Tim Holtz Kraft Resist Christmas Memories Carstock

I used my fav Tag Die from Sizzix “Tags, scallop combo #2, and some picket fence distress stickles and also some stardust stickles.

I also added a little metal snowflake embelishment from Wild Orchid Crafts to finish the tag.

The I started on the second jar, this one is for my daughter Sarah πŸ™‚ made this one all sparkly, bright and cheery, just like her wee face πŸ™‚

The main feature on the lid is a styrofoam / polystyrene star painted with modpodge and sprinkled with Dazzling Diamonds glitter.. them decorated with glittery picks and berries

Then I made a matching tag, added a little bit of burlap and a gorgeous wooden embelishment from Wild Orchid Crafts

Thanks so much for popping in πŸ™‚ Β Sarah x

  1. Sarah these jars are wonderful. After the treats are gone they would be great little storage jars for things like loose change. Think I will do this for birthdays this year along with a gift card.
