Vintage Perfume Case

With it being the end of CHA  this week, I had been watching all the video’s over on Youtube and I was inspired to make “something”… so I pottered away this afternoon up in my shed..

I fancied doing something with a leather box I had found in earlier in the day  and this is what i came up with.

I chose the paper line Transatlantique from Graphic 45.   After it had been stitched I sprayed it with water and scrunched it up, then dried it with a heat gun, to give it a leather feel to it.. everything is edged in Aged Mahogany Distress ink.

With me fixing my sewing machine earlier in the day, this featured quite a bit in this project with all the edged of the paper being machine stitched… the top of the box is padded, and stitched around the edge…

I also made a rosette flower from seam binding, then created a tile using a perspex tile and one of the postage size images from the paper line, all this nestles on a piece of vintage crochet..

Then inside of the box is lovely as it is lined in suede, I just popped some vintage tissue paper in with a couple of perfume bottles that my friend deb had kindly sent me a while back

This was so much fun to do today 🙂

I also made the strap/closure for the front of the case ..

Thanks so much for popping bye 🙂
