Shabby Chic Flower Chest

I made this project last weekend on Sunday!!… oh my goodness what a quick and busy week it has been.

This is last weeks DT project for Wild Orchid Crafts πŸ™‚

This project started off Β its wee life looking a bit like this

I then cut out some chipboard pieces.. with a view to making a little mini to fit inside the box..

I then made the binding for the mini … see Laura Dennison Stack the Deck for the tutorial and cut and punched the edges

I picked some nice shabby chic patterned papers and covered the chipboard

I gave the box a coat of Gesso and rose pink acrylic paint, a generous helping of lovely flowers and hey presto!

I have already posted this project over on Youtube if you fancied a wee peek πŸ™‚

  1. Absolutely gorgeous project, Sarah. The lace and flowers are lovely and the wee album is beautiful. I’m planning something similar for my sister’s birthday pressie so I’ll be taking a look at YouTube and see if I can pick up a few hints and tips πŸ™‚ Elizabeth x
