Fa La La La…. Christmas or Halloween

I headed up to my shed this evening, and was in two minds what to make, do I make something Halloweeny or do I go Christmassy?

Christmas won!

So I made a card ๐Ÿ™‚

There are lots of special elements incorporated in this vintage christmas card…

See the lovely lace bow? … my friend Gina in Sweden sent that lace over to me ๐Ÿ™‚

and see the tiny vintage button, that still has the old thread attached to it? ย well thats from my mum’s button stash, and it’s either a button off one of our school shirts when we were kids, or it’s one of my dad’s buttons off his white navy shirts…

and the teeny tiny vintage cotton ric rac? that was sent over to me by my friend Marybeth in the USA ๐Ÿ™‚

I had been hoarding it because the packet was unopened …

so I decided it’s time to start making my christmas cards and be organised this year for a change!

Supplies List :-

  1. Stampin Up Crumb Cake Cardstock for the card base
  2. Cosmo Cricket Mr Claus Patterned Paper
  3. 1 x shipping tag
  4. Wooden Heart embelishment from Wild Orchid Crafts
  5. Vintage Lace from Gina
  6. Vintage Ric-rac from marybeth
  7. Vintage Button (my mum’s old button stash)
  8. Glossy accents and Scortape
  9. Frayed Burlap Distress Ink

Have a great weekend ๐Ÿ™‚

Homemade & Recycled

I made my own paper this afternoon….. Yipeee!!!!!!!… I’m soooo happy it with it …..can you see me grinning from where you are? ย ๐Ÿ˜€

My hubby built me the frame etc, that I needed to start making my own paper, it’s sooo much fun, plus you get to recycle all your old envelopes, junk mail etc and make gorgeous paper!

So here is my first attempt, the mulch just out of the frame and I added some Wild Orchid Crafts Natural Skeleton Leaves, plus some iridescent glitter from my shed..

This is my 3rd DT project for the month and will feature as next week’s DT Project on Youtube, but I just couldn’t wait to show you all

I will make some other variations during the coming week and will share these next weekend ๐Ÿ™‚

Once the paper has dried completely… this is what it looks like

Now all I need to do is incorporate this into some handmade cards ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m off to make some more ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thanks so much for popping in!
