Paper Baubles

Last night I dug the punches out, and had a go at making some paper christmas decorations…

First up was the Stampin Up 1 3/4″  Scallop Punch with some Cosmo Cricket Patterned paper with frayed burlap distress ink around the edges and some red/white bakers twine…

Then it was the 1 3/4″ stampin up circle punch with some CGD Studio christmas sheet music paper

Then I tried the label punch.. I love the effect of this one, it gives you a squat decoration, I used more of the CGD Studio Christmas patterned paper and again edged in frayed burlap..

These little christmas ornaments are a lot of fun to make, and i’m planning to make more, including a video tutorial which I;m aiming to have up on youtube this coming week.. I ran out of time this weekend!

then I got thinking further… what if I could use wild orchid craft flowers ….   some poinsettia’s perhaps?

love how this one turned out… I added some rhinestones for extra sparkle..

then I tried a smaller flower, a bit more fiddly to make but pretty in green 🙂

and the collection together

  1. These are just gorgeous. I m not really into “christmasey” type decorations, prefer more natural looking, generic type.
These I consider really of that ilk. Brilliant one with tab punch & loving the greens. All lovely. Wish I had motivation this year. TFS 🙂
