Recycled Embellishment Jar..

Life at the moment can be summed up with one word…………………………Busy… with a capital “B”..

I’m so behind with projects, my poor wee craft shed is being neglected big time..

This evening I had some time to myself, the troops went to the movie’s to see the new James Bond 007 Skyfall so I had a couple of hours to play, which let me catch up with my Design Team commitments.

First on the agenda was a tutorial video for the poinsettia Christmas ornament I made a week and a half ago, this time I made a red one.. for the tutorial click here

Products used for this were :-

SP-00039 100 SELF ADHESIVE RHINESTONES – RED
BM-00078 50 LARGE RED POINSETTIA BLOOMS (60mm)
WT-00007 10 METRES RED DIVINE BAKERS TWINE (10.93 yards)

then I altered a small jar I had saved for recycling into something else…. in this case I cleaned it up and decorated and it now houses my cream pearl rose embelishments

products used for this were :-

SB-00008 VINTAGE SEAM BINDING RIBBON – OLOROSO
BM-00003 100 MIXED GREEN/WHITE TONE BLOOM SET
BM-00020 100 MIXED COLOUR SUMMER BLOOMS (20 colours – 3.8cm / 1.5″)
SP-00007 60 WHITE SELF ADHESIVE PEARLS – 5mm

Hopefully i’ll be able to get more crafting in next week πŸ™‚ .. until the next time have a great weekend

  1. Sarah, I saw your earlier ornaments while I was on vacation in Europe & wanted to comment when I got home. I love your scalloped ornaments. Could they be shabbied up a bit by adding a little crinkled seam binding for a bow at the top, some shaved ice glitter along the edges & possibly a hanging dangle of some sort of recycled jewelry pendant? I think that adding some of your shabby chic creativity would put these ornaments over the top πŸ˜‰ Additionally – I wonder if the Stampin Up Ornament punch could be used for these ornaments, too. My mind is racing after having seen such lovely items in Central Europe (Germany, Austria & Switzerland). I brought home a pile of beer mats to use for upcoming projects (ala your wonderful seahorse journal). Thanks so much for sharing your creativity ~
