Hey Pumpkin!

Hey Pumpkin!….

Are these cute or what!!

This morning I was catching up on video’s on you tube,  I subscribe to the Graphic 45 channel,   there is a fantasic tutorial there today on how to make these pumpkins.. click here to watch the tutorial..

After watching it, I headed up to my shed and made a couple..

  • My Minds Eye Mischeivious Patterned Paper
  • Vintage Photo Distress Ink
  • 5 x assorted brads
  • Prima Flowers in assorted autumn colours
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Wild Orchid Crafts Mulberry Leaves

then I made this one…

Pumpkin 2

  • SEI Field Notes Patterned Paper Collection (this is gorgeous! my TK Maxx find from last week)
  • Prima Flowers (from a huge canister i bought ages ago)
  • 5 x Brads
  • Hot glue gun
  • Black soot distress ink
  • Butterfly from the SEI Field Notes collection kit

this has been a great little project, as it has enabled me to use up brads that i bought ages ago and never used, the good thing is, the brads that hold the pumpkin together don’t need to match because you don’t see them!

also,  it enabled me to start using up the huge canister of prima flowers i have been hoarding!

Plus.. this project has given me an idea .. remember the frosted leaves I made last night?  … I think they would be perfect on a pumpkin..

off to have a spot of breakfast, then I’m heading back up to my shed 🙂

Thanks for popping round

Autumn Frosted Leaves and Halloween Rosettes

Today….. I did a massive tidy up in my shed, it got hoovered, dusted and polished!

Then I sat down at my nice clean desk and pondered on what to make…

I started off by die cutting some autumn leaves from clearly besotted stamp, then I stamped the die cuts… and kinda left them like that… after dinner I headed back up to my shed and decided they would look good with a coating of frost…

Autumn Leaves

supplies list :-

  • Clearly Besotted Autumn flowers stamp and die set
  • Tim Holtz Clear rock Candy Distress Dry Glitter
  • Glossy Accents
  • Hero Arts Mid Tone Shaddow Ink : Butter Bar, Green Hills & Cup o Joe

Then, when I was clearing up earlier today I found the Tim Holtz rosette die that I bought at Hobby craft a couple of weeks ago, and had not got round using  yet… so I looked out some Halloween papers and gave it a whirl through my Cuttlebug.. love how they turned out, I just need to have a think about what I can make to put them on! …I think they would look good with some die cut bats in the centres… I might just do something along those lines tomorrow and do an update.

Halloween Rosette's

then I made a wee birthday card, with some left over scraps of paper, before heading down to the house for the night..

Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning

Hi everyone!

It has been another busy old week and I still have a few bits n bobs to finish off, hopefully this week…

  • I need to make the envelopes for the 4 seasons cards I made last week
  • I need to record the above for a You
  • tube video
  • I scored big time last week at TK Maxx Tim Holtz Stamp Sets for £7.99 each!! blog post to do for this!

What have I been up to last week …. I made these Christmas card box sets for the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning that is being held this coming week 27th September 2013 for MacMillan Cancer Research…

Each handmade box contains 4 handmade cards and 4 handmade envelopes, the fronts of the boxes are decorated to show what the cards are like inside, and the back of the box is stamped with the “inside” sentiment…they’re cute and I do hope they sell well with all proceeds going to this worthy charity

Christmas Card Sets

I made some of these live on Ustream last night, and all the girls came around to hang out… love all my crafty friends x

It’s another gorgeous sunny day here, so I headed up the garden to create a card for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog

I discovered the blog challenge this morning whilst looking through Instagram, decided to give it a whirl and here I am 🙂

The theme is “EMBOSS IT”  you can either do heat and or dry embossing… I opted for the dry, and you have to incorporate a sizzix or cuttlebug product too.

For my card I chose to use the Sizzix Ledger embossing folder, which I have to admit, bought, and this is the first time I have used it on a project, I’m also using the new September release stamp set from Clearly Besotted “Boo to You”

Supplies list :-

  • Sizzix Ledger Embossing Folder
  • Heavyweight White Card stock
  • Clearly Besotted Boo to You Stamp & Die Set
  • Clearly Besotted You Said it Die Set
  • Hero Arts – Hero Hues Black Dye Ink
  • Hero Arts Mid Tone Shaddow Ink – Green Hills
  • We r Memory Keepers Corner Chomper
  • Masking Tape
