YOU’RE THE BEST

Hi Everyone…

A very happy Monday to you all…

It’s a very happy Monday in my wee shed tonight, my Stampin Up order arrived in the mail today 🙂 lots of nice new stamp sets to play with, I have recorded a video, showing all the bits n bobs I received, but I forgot to show the 2 x paper collections, not to worry, I will try and squeeze them into a future video 😉

Tonight I was playing around making my own inked backgrounds using stamps and inks, I hope to share what I made with those tomorrow.

But for this evening’s post, I have a simple stamped card to share, I like how this turned out, simple yet effective (always think these kinds of cards stand out).

Shabby Sunday #7

Shabby Sunday #7  ~ The Wee Shabby Donkey

shabby shunday #6 1

This week’s shabby sunday is all about this wee shabby donkey… It caught my eye yesterday in the craft shop and I just had to buy it.. link here for the stamp!

I used thick water colour paper for the card base and lots of lovely lace from Etsy Store : Lavish Laces

This is a fairly quick card to put together, longest part was cutting round the donkey, as I stamped it on stampin up coaster board

Butterfly Card & New Techniques

Happy Sunday everyone!

This is blog post 2 of 3 .. I’m going for a hat trick today 😉

I have been playing around all morning with the different/new techniques I learned yesterday when I attended  the Card Making Workshop at Stampers Grove Thanks to Yvonne for teaching and James & Emma for hosting the workshop in their craft store

The first card I made is using a new butterfly trio stamp set that I bought whilst I was at the class, it stamps beautifully!

and here is the card I created, using the new folding and cutting out technique from the workshop

and here is a different view so you can see it from a different angle..

I made the next card yesterday in class, and today I finished it off by applying holographic embossing powder and some colour to the body, this is another gorgeous stamp.. you can find it here

dagonfly 1

the technique here is you stamp the image direct to the card base, then cut around the wings with a craft knife to give your card added dimension… cant wait to try this again, I will need to have a nose in my stamp vault to see if what stamps would lend themselves for this type of card 🙂

I also made another one of these cards using a stampin up heart stamp

just because 2

Then I had a go at a pop out card, this is supposed to be a stack of presents, you could also do a stacked cake..

I had so much fun learning things yesterday, now to put them all into practice!

I’ll be back later tonight with Shabby Sunday

Sarah 🙂
