Bless your Wee Wooly Heart

Bless your wee wooly heart…

I {{heart}} felting so much… I have more idea’s in mind for future projects, and I am excited to get started with these, but need to wait on “felty stuffs” arriving in the mail before I can do anything else….. maybe ๐Ÿ˜‰ ย  (just thought of something lol)

So…. last night whilst wee wooly gingerbread guy was in progress, I remembered I had a star cookie cutter in the back of the kitchen drawer!… and before I knew it, i had 2 projects on the go at once lol

I waited until this morning to finish the star off because I needed some silver thread and beads from my shed

I love how it turned out.. this is the last of the sheep wool that I was given, I need to order more of the same because I want to make more of these to put on my christmas tree this year. ย  ย In fact I might even get a real tree this year because these stars would be perfect! ย  I may put some on my Etsy Shop too, the shelves over there have been bare for a loooong time ๐Ÿ™‚

As always, thanks for popping round

See you soon!

    1. Thank you so much for the lovely comments Cobs… I’ve just noticed that the title of this post does not match the project lol … was still in heart mode ๐Ÿ˜‰ More felting supplies coming this week, can hardly wait, plusI spent the weekend watching felting tutorials on youtube… excited!

      1. Felting is addictive isn’t it! When I have a time of boredom the first thing I reach for is my felting. I keep it all in a baby box under the dresser, next to where I sit, so that all I have to do is reach out and grab it.

I’m not sure if you already know this but . . . did you know that you can felt onto polystyrene? You can buy ready made little shapes which are purposely designed and made for folks to felt onto. They’re available in an assortment of shapes (eggs, balls, domes, even triangular shapes – but 3D – like Christmas tree shapes. … and other shapes too). You can felt directly onto those shapes, and this gives you a dimension and also saves your precious wool too!

Check out ebay and price them up before you buy so that you can make sure you’re getting a great deal. (… and I’d buy more than one because you’ll love them and will go felting crazy making dimensional brooches, pictures, animals .. oh! and all sorts of things!).

And now I’ve said all this you probably already knew about it, so I’ll shut up and stop taking up space! lol

I’m LOVING your new felting habit and looking forward to seeing more woolly delights from you. ~ Cobs. x

    1. I am having so much fun with the felt n stuff, I’m hoping to go on a felting class soon, but everything I have done so far I have learned from youtube ๐Ÿ™‚ I noticed in my local garden centre yesterday that they stocked felting kits, so it must be trendy right now lol
