Christmas “Chocolate Box”

Hello there everyone,

It’s Tuesday and It is my turn over at the Indigoblu Blog to share another project …. I can hardly believe a week has passed already.. time certainly does fly when you are having fun :-)

I have used the snowflake lace background stamp and the gorgeous new Chocolate Box Megaflakes to create this versatile little christmas  ”Chocolate Box” gift holder, where you can slide the sides apart, fill with special chocolates and close right back up again.    The good thing about this project is you can adapt it for a variety of different holiday occasions, for example Halloween, Valentines Day, Easter etc…

I have used the gorgeous new chocolate box megaflakes and applied these to textured card stock for the main body of the box, I also die cut a rosette die and applied the flake, it just looks so lush, and to top it all off I took a chunky button, applied flitterglu and covered this with flake too 🙂

The large plastic snowflake was a cheap christmas decoration that I painted with Goldfinger metallic paint and I just love the effect,  In fact I would love to apply the new release metallic paints to more of these snowflakes and make several more in different colourways… perhaps I will do this for my step by step blog post next month if you would like to see how these are put together 😉

I hope you enjoyed this week’s project, as much as I did making it …

I hope you all have a super week!   Remember to check the Indigoblu blog for more posts later this week from the super talented Indigoblubelle’s

Take care

Halloween Pumpkins and Treat Holders

Hi everyone!

It has been a busy old weekend, and here I am sat on a Sunday evening catching my tail and getting up to date before another brand new sparkly week starts!

Last week I was on Shortbread making mode, I baked a lot all in aid of a fabulous cause, Macmillan Cancer Care.    My friend at work was holding a fundraising coffee morning from 10am till 12pm on Saturday, so I popped along and had tea and cakes with everyone.. what a great morning it was too, i got to catch up with many friends!

After the coffee morning I headed over to Meadowbank Stadium in Edinburgh where the Ross Papercraft Show was taking place from 10 till 3pm … it was a great afternoon, I got to stock up on cardstock, bought sequins, and also managed to buy a stamp and embossing folder set I had been after for a looong time from Stampers Grove, had no idea they even had it 😉

I also picked up the latest Workshop timetable … going to try and get along to some of Yvonne’s classes when I do not have a demo on for Indigoblu..  Guess what too ??

I will also be doing a few workshops for Stampers Grove in October – December !! how exciting is that!    The first workshop is on 18th October 2014 from 11am to 1pm (see below for a sneek peek)  😀 I can hardly wait, Iam all prepared and ready for it already lol … I got super organised last night and this morning

Halloween 1

Well, that’s my news for this weekend, I hope you can pop along for one of the workshops, they sure are a lot of fun and everyone is very welcoming and friendly, they certainly made me feel very welcome when I booked my very first workshop.

As always, thank you so much for popping round.

I will see you at 10am on Tuesday morning with a new project on the Indigoblu blog

Mini Book of Quotes

Happy Tuesday !

I made this little mini book especially for my very first blog post over on the Indigoblu Blog {{ click here}} to see it.

Mini Book of Quotes 4

The book is quite easy to put together, I made the basic book (un-embelished) in around 30 mins … the completed book around the 2 hour mark

Mini Book of Quotes

I used a hitch fastener as a closure, to it is pretty robust and perfect addition to your handbag/purse

Mini Book of Quotes 5

It’s pretty dinky and measures 2.5″ x 1/2″ x 3″ …it would even fit in the back pocket of your jeans!

You don’t have to use it as a quote book, it would make a perfect address book, photo album, you could even put all the numbers of your fav take-outs in it to but a few !

MiniBook of Quotes 1

The back looks pretty awesome with this gorgeous splatter butterfly gilded in Morris Dance Megaflake

Gilding Flakes and Sea Glass

Hi Everyone…

A thought popped into my head tonight……..!

I wonder if I can apply Megaflakes to seaglass?

One way to find out….. and off to my shed I trot!

I have to say…I loved the effect 🙂

I picked a nice piece of light aqua glass and applied some around the edges, then took the snowflake lace stamp from Indigoblu and stamped over top and applied more winter dawn flakes.. it’s so pretty ❤
