Gone to Pot!

Hi everyone!

Bit of an early post for me tonight and it’s a pic heavy long one!

Once I got home from work and fed the dogs, I went straight up to my shed to make tonight’s wee project!

Remember that wee bare pot from yesterday’s blog post?…

It’s not bare anymore πŸ˜‰

pot

Firstly I took some Paperartsy Snowflake opaque Fresco Finish Chalk Paint and painted it inside and out

Next I took some left over paper scraps from the rosettes I made last week, and tore them into narrow strips, this paper line is by Glitz Designs

I then glued the strips to the outer edge of the wee plant pot

Time for some shaved ice… I applied Β glue around the rim of the pot with Cosmic Shimmer Specialist Acrylic Glue and sprinkled on the shaved ice

Next we have some vintage cotton lace from Jaizella’s Etsy Store which is called Lavish Laces Β and I inked around the bottom edge of the pot with vintage photo distress ink

Added a rosette .. I made these over a week ago.. this is the one edged in stickles

apply rosette

and then we are done!

Decorating these little peat pots from your local garden centre adds a little bit of sparkle to giving gifts, you can fill them up with sweeties/candies/chocolates and wrap them in cellophane or pop them into clear gift bags and tie them with pretty ribbons and twine

I hope you liked this wee project, and see you again tomorrow πŸ™‚

Thanks for popping round

Sarah xx

  1. What a fabulous idea Sarah, thank you for sharing your beautiful pot, I would never have thought to decorate a peat pot and turn it into a gift idea. I love that I’ve found your blog, you are so inspirational, I’m looking forward to tomorrows blog. Bye for now x

  2. Oh Sarah, this is fab!! I bought some of those pots ages ago and they are still waiting to be ‘dealt with’ so thanks for the inspiration πŸ™‚ x
