Des-Res Bird Box

Hi everyone!

I have a fab little wooden bird box project to share with you tonight 😀

Remember last night I mentioned that I will be doing an all day workshop at Stampers Grove in Edinburgh well.. it is a full day Imagination Crafts workshop, using all the lovely products they have launched recently.. it’s going to be a great day..so if you fancy joining me click here and it will take you to the Workshop List at Stampers Grove and it provides you will all the information you need.

So back to the des-res bird box, I bought this wee wooden bird house on Saturday after the flip book workshop.. with a view to painting it.. and that’s what I did tonight..

bh1

Take two colours of Starlights Paints.. I used Mint and Rich Gold

bh2

I was going to make a tiled roof from circles of painted cardstock, but my circle punch was too big for the tiny wee roof and it looked silly..so I cracked open the Stampendous Shaved Ice and sprinkled it all over the gold painted roof.. it looks really nice as the ice takeson a different colour.

I also switched out the hanging cord, I thought the one that came with it looked too thick to be on such a small box.

bh5

I would quite like to paint a full size bird box in these colours and mount it on the side of my wee craft shed, I think it would be a nice addition 🙂

bh6

Well that’s me for another night, I am off for an early night, as the pup had me up 3 times last night!

bh4

See you tomorrow, and thanks for popping round

p.s.forgot to mention all products I used today can be bought from Stampers Grove 🙂

  1. So cute. Love the roof. I had one I bought years ago from paper artsy but painted it red n white if I remember to use as a Christmas tree ornament
