Sparkly Ice Resin Keyrings

Hello Everyone!

It was a success and they turned out great!

I made Ice Resin keyrings from old Tim Holtz packaging and filled them with sparkly shaker mix sequins from Lucy’s Little Things

I love how they turned out, I just need to get some little keychain rings for them 🙂

The packaging I re-used was from a pack of Tim Holtz Swivel Clasp I bought for the bezel key rings I made last week

I still have loads of Ice Resin left and I want to try and explore this further and see what I can make with it 🙂

There is so much you can do with this product and Ice Resin have a fab Youtube Channel with a ton of hints tips and project ideas for you

It is a beautiful sunny day today so I will be heading back up to my wee shed, (in between hanging out the laundry) to make some summer cards for a wee workshop through at stampers grove in a couple of weeks time and I will share these soon on the blog

Thanks for popping round

  1. Oh wow! These are lovely Sarah. I’ve been putting off ‘playing’ with resin as (I admit) a bit of a messy crafter. I have what my doctor calls ‘task tremours’, which means that my hands and fingers will shake a little (not a lot and not violently), just enough to make a difference to things I’m doing as I’m trying to do them. (drinking coffee can be a danger zone!). So I worry that I’d likely resin up my desk, glass mats, and everything other than the thing I was actually trying to do!.
You’ve given me the courage to actually get around to having a go.

Love the key rings you’ve made. I bet they’re very tactile too.
    Great work! ~ Cobs. x

    1. I’m clumsy too that makes us a right pair! I knocked over the wee mixing tub with the resin on it, but managed to scoop most of it back into the tub and cleaned down my wooden board with a baby wipe :s it is fun but a bit footery x

  2. Ooh these look gorgeous. It’s something I’ve been meaning to try for ages but haven’t got around to it yet. Tfs. Missing your wee videos Jeanette x

    1. Thanks Jeanette 🙂 I was just thinking that the other day, I have not made a video for ages, must get back to making them again 🙂 x

  3. These are gorgeous! I love making things that haven’t cost me much money, especially using packaging that your going to throw away. When the resin had set are you able to re-use the packaging again or not? x

    1. Hi Cal.. I like to use things up too, I have had the ice resin for 2 years and never opened it! .. I had to cut the plastic packaging apart to release the finished keyrings, i think silicone moulds would fair better forgetting things out..i’m keeping my eyes peeled for any cheap ones online or will have a look at the £1 shop at the weekend 🙂
