Halloween Pumpkin

Hi Everyone!

You know the other day how I said I was done with Halloween?  ….well…..I forgot that I bought a paper mache pumpkin when I was in Hobbycraft and seeing as it is Halloween tomorrow, I thought I better paint it 😀

I actually got a bargain it was reduced to £4.00 ! So here is my naked pumpkin, it is fairly big and about the size of a medium real one 😉

bare

I gave it an initial coat of Paperartsy Butternut Opaque chalk finish paint I didnt have any opaque orange paints so had to improvise

one-coat

then I added a dollop of Deco Art Media Tinting Base and some quinacridone gold which gave me a pale orange colour

coat-2

then i mixed in more quinacridone gold to the base dollop on my desk and we are getting there..

coat-3

and even more ….

coat-4

then i dry brushed neat quinacrodone gold all over the top.. and happy with the result

final-coat

Happy Halloween everyone!!

The Wee Wooden Tray

Hi everyone!

Something different from cards to share today… I altered a wee wooden tray for an upcoming workshop.. this is the before picture 🙂

tray-3

If you would like to decorate one with me I will be at Stampers Grove on Saturday 10th December from 11am till 1pm.   they are perfect for that last minute Christmas gift, you can paint/embelish , then fill them with a whole host of festive goodies, wrap up in cellophane and you have a perfect tailor made christmas gift!

Here is the one I made today, this would be perfect filled with fruit teabags, coffee, and homemade shortbread biscuits..

tray-1

There are a lot of different things incorporated in this tray, I gilded the edges in gold leaf, Stamped and heat embossed the sides with embossing powder and lined the inside and sides with a gorgeous patterned paper.. the handles are bound in gorgeous twine

tray-2

I also took a picture outside, it is amazing how lighter it looks in natural lighting 🙂

Christmas Promise & Wild at Heart Stacks

Hi everyone,

I thought I would record a wee video for you showing the First Edition Christmas Promise and also the Wild at Heart 6×6 patterned paper stacks.

I absolutely love them both, they are absolutely gorgeous,  however, please shop around if you plan to buy them, I paid £8.00 for each stack from Hobbycraft the other day,  and I also ordered more online from Amazon last night where the same 6×6 stacks were £3.99 !!

Hope you found this post useful, I will see you all again soon.

Thanks for popping round

Scrawlrbox October 2016

Hi everyone,

I have a video to share with you today, I received my October Scrawlrbox in the mail on Thursday and thought you might like a peek at what I got this month.

Scrawlrbox is a monthly art supplies subscription box that will cost you £15.00 per month and I think it is great value and you certainly get your money’s worth, it arrives through the letter box each month so no need to worry about not being home when it arrives, the box fits through your letterbox no problem at all

I hope you enjoyed seeing what I got this month, as always, thank you for popping round.
