Happy Saturday to you all 😀
I have a wee pink egg house to share with you today, this is the first of 2 that I have to share, I still have the other one to decorate…
- Pink Egg House £1.00 from Hobbycraft
- Paperartsy Snowflake and Blush Chalk Paint
- Double Sided Tape 1/8th Inch
- Tim Holtz Vintage Platinum Glitter
- Styrofoam Eggs
- Dina Wakeley Matte Medium
I painted the whole house white first so that it did not alter the colour of the blush paint… left the inside white
Hope you liked today’s project.. I also finished my G45 Safari Adventure mini album today too.. I will take photo’s of that tonight and do the blog post tomorrow
As always, thanks for popping round
Welcome to Day 11 of Blogmas!
Today I gave a clay vase that I bought a couple of years ago a bit of a festive makeover… it was looking a bit sorry for itself sitting up on the shelf in my shed.
So… I gave it a layer of Deco Art Media White Gesso, dried it with my heat gun, then gave it a lick of Captain Peacock fresco finish chalk acrylic paint from paperartsy…
I wrapped some twine around the middle, painted a balsa wood star with Deco Art Media fluid acrylic metallic gold paint and placed a few sprigs of glittery foliage into it and we are done 🙂
I love making my own home decor for Christmas, makes it that wee bit special knowing its homemade…
As always thanks for popping round and if you fancy joining me tomorrow, I will have another festive project for you.
A warm welcome to Blogmas Day 10! .. gosh we are into double digits now 🙂 we have 14 more days left until Christmas Eve and of course the end of Blogmas!
Today I have a masculine gift box to share with you.. it started out as a plain brown hexagonal paper mache box…
I half started making this the other night when I made a christmas card and mixed up too much of the light green paint, and instead of wasting it, I painted the lid of this box.
Supplies List :-
- 1 x paper mache box
- Paperartsy Hyde Park Semi Opaque Green Paint
- Deco Art Media Tinting Base .. when I mixed it with the Hyde park it gave me the colour on the lid.
- First Edition Wild at Heart 6×6 patterned paper stack (I love this stack)
- Double Sided Tape
- Black Tartan Ribbon from Stampers Grove
- 3 x Painted Pinecones from Hobbycraft (you get 6 in a bunch)
- Hot glue gun to stick the pinecones down
Now that I am writing this blog post and looking at the picture I am wishing that I had edged all the paper panels and the edges of the lid with distress ink just to give it some definition..
As always, thank you for popping round and I will see you tomorrow for Day 11 🙂
Welcome to Blogmas Day 9!
I made it ….. by the skin of my teeth with today’s project 🙂
I still have a few bits n bobs to add to this but it is almost there so thought I would share it as is..
I am at Stampers Grove tomorrow making festive trays with the lovely ladies and this is sample tray No. 2
These trays are perfect for filling with goodies (tea/coffee/biscuits or toiletries/perfume/makeup or even sit a dolly or a big teddy in the middle and wrap up in cellophane with a big bow on top..
I want to add some glittery snowflakes (using the Tim Holtz dies I used earlier in the week) along the outside edges just to finish this off but I will need to do that tomorrow morning.
I’m off to bed now as it is an early start for me in the morning, then I will see you all tomorrow evening for another blogmas project… I’m thinking it might be a gift box 😉
As always, I appreciate you coming round
You know the other day how I said I was done with Halloween? ….well…..I forgot that I bought a paper mache pumpkin when I was in Hobbycraft and seeing as it is Halloween tomorrow, I thought I better paint it 😀
I actually got a bargain it was reduced to £4.00 ! So here is my naked pumpkin, it is fairly big and about the size of a medium real one 😉
I gave it an initial coat of Paperartsy Butternut Opaque chalk finish paint I didnt have any opaque orange paints so had to improvise
then I added a dollop of Deco Art Media Tinting Base and some quinacridone gold which gave me a pale orange colour
then i mixed in more quinacridone gold to the base dollop on my desk and we are getting there..
and even more ….
then i dry brushed neat quinacrodone gold all over the top.. and happy with the result
Happy Halloween everyone!!
Apologies, it has been a while since I have blogged, It’s not that I have not been crafting, it is more the case of I have not had time to blog any of it..
Life is busy with the pups and Chunky has more trips to the vet than i can mention.. but he is still with us and on the whole keeps remarkably well 🙂
I altered this little wooden birdhouse yesterday and recorded the video, spent this morning editing it and chopping it down from 2 hours to 7 mins 🙂 I love how it looks.
Supplies used :-
- Wooden Birdhouse from Stampers Grove
- PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Acrylic Paint in Granny Smith Opaque Chalk Finish
- Claudine Hellmuth Semi Gloss Acrylic Paint in Traditional Tan
- Paperartsy Patterned Paper 12 x 12

The sun is out today for a change so I headed up to my wee shed to make some stuff 🙂
I have not been feeling very crafty of late, so it was nice to get up there and get covered in paint and glue!
I made two things today … I altered a paper mache heart shaped box and made a display board for my fridge magnets (to take to a workshop).
I recorded a video for both which I will edit this afternoon and will blog the display board tomorrow.
I made a slight change to the box at the last minute and will post a picture below..
I had a small box of Woodware mulberry flowers in dark colours, so I used the same paint I painted the box with to paint the flowers so that they matched.
- Heart Shaped Paper Mache Box
- PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Chalk Paint in the colour Blush
- Glitz Designs Beautiful Dreamer Patterned Paper Collection
- Woodware Mulberry Flowers
- Pink Sequins and Pale Pink Acrylic Rose & Cotton Candy Glitter by Martha Stewart
- Mod Podge ~ Matte Finish
- Versa Magic Chalk Ink in the colour Pixie Dust
- Scortape, Paintbrushes, Paper Trimmer and Scissors & Heat Gun
- Late addition.. ruffle edge ribbon.
