Hello and welcome… can you believe it has been almost a month since my last blog post!..
I wanted to share the lovely creations from the Christmas with Colourcraft workshop held yesterday at Stampers Grove in Edinburgh…
We had a fun day learning all about Colourcraft products and the fun things we can do with them… this is the sample I made for the workshop
We worked with the Aztec Lustre and metallic paints, Acrylic Sprays Mists and Shimmer Mists, Tyvek, Lutradur 70, Soft Form Relief Paste, Expandit and Brusho Crystal Colours..
Once we had finished having a good old experiment and play with the products we gathered everything that we had made throughout the day and brought it all together to make a christmas hanging collage…
I absolutely love how every single one is different and such great pieces made by everyone.. well done ladies your work is wonderful 🙂
I am sure you will agree they are all wonderful !
Have a great weekend everyone.. and thank you for popping round
The new workshop dates have been released for Stampers Grove YAY!..
If you fancy booking in for a workshop we would love to see you there, both Lorna and I have some great workshops booked .. there is also two full days in November dedicated to all things Colourcraft.. 🙂

I have a couple of cute little handmade books to share with you…. I attended a workshop at Stampers Grove in Edinburgh this afternoon on button hole book binding with Cass Barron and it was such a fab workshop, if you ever get a chance to take a class with Cass jump at the chance as you will not be disappointed here is a link to her Facebook Page 😊
And here is a view inside at the signatures
We finished our first books with some spare time left over so we got to start making another book, which I completed once I got home
I plan to make another couple tomorrow … they are so much fun to make..
i will leave a link to the stampers grove workshop list here as Cass has a few more workshops planned throughout the summer, they are not to be missed 🙂
thank you for popping in, as always 😊
I have a mixed media board to share with you today, I went to a class yesterday and we made mixed media boards using DecoArt Media Paints, gesso, matte medium, stamps, etc and had a lot of fun, I also learned how to understand and use the colour wheel, which was great, as I’m not that great at the old mixed media thing 🙂
Here is the board I made, I like how it turned out
We stamped the girl image onto mulberry paper and painted her before fixing her down to the board with matte medium
Once everything was stuck down I added some highlights with a signo uniball white pen and a black pen to touch up the bits I had missed on the “wake up and be awesome”
I had loads of fun down at Helen’s and if you ever get the chance you should pop in and visit 🙂
Thanks for popping round
Another little project to share with you today, I made a small 5″ x 7″ display board for the fridge magnets that I made the other day, I am doing a workshop next Saturday at Stampers Grove and thought this would be a nice way to display the magnets 🙂
It is quick and easy to make, and I recorded a wee video to go along with the blog post
- PaperArtsy Greyboard 5″ x 7″
- 12 x 12 Patterned Paper
- Small Alphabet Peg Stamps
- Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
- Magnetic Self Adhesive Tape Strip
Thanks for popping round
Phew! It has been a busy old day..
A paintey project this morning.. hanging thing got two more layers and a paint job.. i went to a workshop on drawing faces and threw in a bit of laughter for good measure!
First up.. drawing faces… we have ET’s wee brother in the top right corner, the middle one is not too bad and bottom left has the biggest pout known to man going on haha!
Next up… the hanging thing, which is actually a future workshop idea i was testing out.. involves a balloon, paper and glue 😉 … anyway it is finished and i painted it tonight.. a wee bowl.
It turned out ok for a first attempt.. might work on it some more tomorrow and take a better picture of it..
I am off to bed now.. shattered doesnt cover it 😴
See you tomorrow
Today was my flip book workshop at Stampers Grove in Edinburgh, it was a great workshop and great fun with a lovely group of ladies ..
We had a special treat too.. Robyn baked a Chocolate avacado cake which was absolutely yummy.. it was sugarless and eggless too! hoping to get a copy of the recipe and have a go at making one too 🙂
So instead of me making something new tonight I thought I would share all thelovely flip books made at the workshop today..
Margaret’s flip books
Helen’s Flip Book
Yvonnes Flip Books
