Blogmas Day 18

Hi Everyone!

A warm welcome to Blogmas Day 18!

I absolutely LOVE today’s wee project, it is a great idea for a last minute gift or stocking stuffer…

All you need is an inexpensive picture frame, give it a wee lick of paint, add a photo and embelish the front and you have a lovely gift to give just in time for christmas..

I have a few of these wooden frames, I got mine at Stampers Grove, I have a couple left over for future projects… and you don’t even need to paint them you could use a varnish or wood stain and keep it natural

Supplies List:-

  • Wooden Frame
  • Imagination Crafts Starlights White Gold Paint
  • Gold Pine Cones from Hobbycraft
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Photograph of Isla our Springer Spaniel

As always thank you for popping round, and I will see you tomorrow for Day 19!

Instax Photo Book

Hi Everyone,

photo wallet c

Happy New Year to you all!

I have been working on a couple Β of new projects this year, one I can share now and the other later in the week once it has had time to dry.

I made this photo book/wallet today live on UstreamTV. Β  I wanted something to display my Instax Polaroid Photo’s in and this little wallet is just the ticket. Β  I have uploaded the content onto my Youtube Channel.

It is a great way to store some of the photo’s that I have taken last year, I want to make another one for this year or maybe I can do one a month πŸ˜‰

If you are organised and have all your pictures printed out, and your patterned paper picked out, these little booklets should take no time at all to put together πŸ™‚

Measurements :-

  • 2 pieces of chipboard cut to 4 1/4″ x 1″
  • 2 pieces of chipboard cut to 4 1/4″ x 3″
  • 1 piece of chipboard cut to 4 1/4″ x 1 1/2″

Inside Cover

  • 1 piece of patterned paper cut to 9 1/2″ x 4″

Inside Pages

  • You will need Β approx 8 pieces of patterned paper 5 5/8″ x 4″
  • These should be scored at 2 3/4″ and again at 2 7/8″

You can also follow along with the video on Youtube, but it is lengthy and I chat quite a bit with my crafty friends on Ustream as it recorded live, just in case you think I have lost the plot lol!

I also added some of the Tim Holtz Chit chat and Small Talk self adhesive words once the Instax Polaroid Photos had been fixed into the book.

Here is the link to my Youtube video below

I hope you enjoyed this week’s project, I will see you all next week.

Just a reminder that I am planning to get back to doing regular Ustream shows on a sunday morning πŸ™‚

As always, thanks so much for your support and for popping round, have a great week!

Chunky Polaroid Wallet

I made another polaroid photo wallet this morning for my doggy pictures of Chunky.

I used black card stock for the base which I got as a multi pack from Simon Says Stamp,it is their own brand..

The patterned paper is from Glitz Designs, and has a slightly edgy grungy feel to it

I bought some wood shapes and alphas when I was over at Stampers Grove on Saturday, love these, and will pick some more up when I visit again next weekend, I inked them up with onyx black ink, but it wouldn’t dry so I covered it with a layer of stampin up crystal effects, which is the same as glossy accents.

I filled it with my mini polaroid snaps which measure 2″ X 3 1/4″

it is a perfect size to pop into your purse/handbag and you can adapt them for virtually anything… grandchildren, cats, gardening, friends and family snaps πŸ™‚

I have one more of these to make and I will be sure to provide all the measurements for you, I ran out of time today,

As always, thanks for popping round and I will see you next week.

Polaroid Picture Photo Wallet

I have been meaning to make one of these wee wallets for weeks now, and I finally got round to it this afternoon…i made it to hold all the dinkie polaroid photo’s that I have taken of our wee Isla puppy.

Isla 1

The polaroid pictures are printed on the Fujifilm Instax smartphone printer.. thepictures are roughly the size of credit cards

I used the My Minds Eye 12 x 12 Paper Stack Vintage Charm paper pad.

I also used Tim Holtz Abandoned Coral Distress ink to edge everything..

I will try and draw up all the measurements this coming week, because I have another wallet to make for our other dog chunky (you all know who he is right πŸ˜‰ ) so it will by in nice boy colours

She is such a wee cute in the picture above she was only 8 weeks old and this picture was taken the day after we got her

The backs of the photo’s are white, which has allowed me to write a wee bit about each photo πŸ™‚

I hope you enjoyed today’s was a lot of fun to make… I will try and record the one I make for Chunky on Youtube for you all next weekend

As always, thank you for popping round
