New Baby Girl, Big Brother, Cousin Cards

I made a few cards today…

It feels good to be able to go up to my shed and make things again… and actually enjoy doing it…

A new baby girl has arrived … although not the same baby girl that arrived today for the Duke and Dutchess of Cambridge, but to friends of ours son and daughter-in-law.

So I made a wee card…

Finally my third card is for the new baby’s new big cousin who is 1yr old.  It is nice to include the wee ones too so that they don’t feel they are not getting lots of attention with a new baby around, so a special wee card each is a nice touch

Pinterest Challenge : Envelope Punch Board Bows

Hi Everyone…

Today I challenged myself to make something from Pinterest, just to see if it “works for me” ..  so I chose to make some pretty bows using the envelope punch board by We R Memory Keepers… and guess what? they worked 🙂 yay!!

Bows 1

So easy to make too!   I also recorded a video of me making them, which you can view here

bows 2

All that you will need is 3 pieces of patterned paper…

  • 1 x 6″ x 1″
  • 1 x 3″ x 1″
  • 1 x 1/4″ x 1″
  • and an envelope punch board.

I plan on making a few more, some with the edges inked and some with the edges scuffed just to see how they compare, and also to incorporate them onto a card

bows 3

I love how they turned out … and can’t wait to try something else from Pinterest to challenge myself

As always, thanks so much for popping round

Hovis ~ Cat in a Bag

Hi Everyone… this is my second project for June designing for Wild Orchid Crafts for YouTube being part of the Wild Bunch Design Team.   Link to Video on how I put the layout together

I created this 12 x 12 Layout of Hovis, our Birman Cat… when my daughter was getting packed for her vacation last week, she had taken some new clothes that we had bought out of this huge brown paper carrier bag, and no sooner was it empty and Hovis jumped right on in there 🙂   So I quickly grabbed my camera and took a few pictures…
