i <3 tree's with some shabby chic love.. .. ..

I have a really great time in the workshop tonight… wee Sarah pulled up a chair, got my old craft mat out and crafted along with me πŸ™‚

I made a layout and a card and she made a card with a painted background, newpaper clippings some flower picks, lace and a stamp.

Below is the 8″ x 8″ Layout I made using a picture of a tree that I snapped whilst walking through the woods with the dogs the other week.. and the layout says it all … I really do {heart} trees πŸ˜‰

I was wondering why my camera was taking crappy photos tonight and it wouldn’t focus.. turns out my son had been using it today, altered all the settings and left his fingerprints all over the lens!! the lengths some teens wil go to get a Β photo πŸ˜‰ I suppose i’ll let him off seeing as he “fessed up” to using it lol

Here is a picture of the shabby Chic card I made using some of the leftovers from the Layout

Lena Broom 8 x 8 Layout

When I was out walking the dogs yesterday, I took my camera with me and snapped a few pictures, I took the picture below because the colours of the flowers were just gorgeous..

It belongs to the Broom Family and this variety is knows as Lena Broom

Sooo… I headed up to the workshop tonight, not knowing really what to make… I had it in my mind that I wanted to try doing a layout of a tree that I had taken a picture of on the same walk… and printed it out (below) and also printed out the Lena Broom whilst I was at it.

Now…I think I will still do a layout with this photograph, but that’s for Β another day… once I compared both photographs I decided to go with the Lena Broom πŸ™‚

I just love the orange, peach, raspberry and creams Β in these beautiful flowers πŸ™‚
