Blogmas Day 18

Hi Everyone!

A warm welcome to Blogmas Day 18!

I absolutely LOVE today’s wee project, it is a great idea for a last minute gift or stocking stuffer…

finished.jpg

All you need is an inexpensive picture frame, give it a wee lick of paint, add a photo and embelish the front and you have a lovely gift to give just in time for christmas..

I have a few of these wooden frames, I got mine at Stampers Grove, I have a couple left over for future projects… and you don’t even need to paint them you could use a varnish or wood stain and keep it natural

Butterfly Picture Frame

Hi everyone….

here is my latest Youtube DT Project for Wild Orchid Crafts… a nice wee butterfly picture frame πŸ™‚

It started off as a Papier Mache type frame from my local Hobbycrafts Store… and with a lick of paint, distress crackle medium, flowers and butterflies.. and the lovely new Echo Park Hello Spring Paper collection, here is what I made…

I thought I would do a step by step photo progress of this project and there is also the Youtube Video to have a peek at too πŸ™‚

Take one picture frame…

and some Folkart Lemonade Acrylic Paint

I gave it around 3 coats…

the edges were coated in 4 different colours of chalk ink, I used the Echo Park Hello Spring patterned paper as a backing paper for the frame and a trio of butterfly accent stickers Β and a coat of rock candy distress crackle paint.

Once the crackle paint dried I rubbed the frame with some Wild Honey Distress Ink

I then took a tando creative wooden butterfly and dipped it in the Wild Honey Distress ink and sprayed it with water a few times, then edged it in green chalk ink and placed some rhinestones up the centre

Added a few gorgeous flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and its finished πŸ™‚
