ATC Art Shrine & Crafty News

Hi Everyone!

I mentioned yesterday that I had some news to share…

I am so happy to be able to let you know that I am a design team member for 2017-2018 for ColourCraft and I am looking forward to creating lots of nice new projects for them in the coming year.. and of course you will get to see them all because they will all be featured here on my blog πŸ™‚

I also have an ATC Art Shrine to share with you… this is from a company called That’s Crafty and they can be bought from http://www.stampersgrove.co.uk

they arrive in kit form and you have to glue all the bits together to make the shrine, you get 3 in a packet.. I gave one a coat of Deco Art white gesso, then cracked open my new set of Tim Holtz mini Stencils and used 2 different ones along with Deco Art Modelling Paste

I also used 2 pots of Brush crystals to obtain the gorgeous colour on the shrine.. Turquoise and Light Brown…

I popped in an ATC that I made some time ago, just to see what it looked like up against the ATC Shrine

I’m loving how the blue pops through the brown in random places.. and I am looking forward to decorating the other two soon… not sure if I am entirely finished decorating this one yet, I might add something else to the front, but if I do I will be sure to post an updated picture

That’s all for today, as always thanks for popping round and I will see you soon

Hi Everyone…

H is for Happy Halloween πŸ˜‰

This is ATC (Artist Trading Card) number 4 of 4 and it is slightly different from the rest I featured here on the blog this week.

  • DecoArt Media White Gesso
  • DecoArt Media Tinting Base
  • DecoArt Media Matte Medium & texture paste
  • DecoArt Fluid Acrylics Metallic Silver, Panes Grey and Black
  • DecoArt Shimmer Mister White
  • Scrapiniec Decorative Chipboard
  • That’s Crafty ATC White/Greyboard
  • H Stencil (from chipboard letter sheet I had used the H so used hole as stencil)
  • Imagination Crafts Script Stamp (I bought mine here)
  • Archival Black Ink
  • Lawn Fawn Happy Halloween Stamp
  • Paperartsy Yellow Translucent paint

I mixed a spot of cobalt black paint in with the texture paste and swiped this over my stencil, i like this decoart media texture paste as it is quite rubbery when dry as opposed to a chalky finish.

As always, thanks for popping round, and i hope you enjoyed a week of blog posts, let me know what you think as it’s do-able for me to make my stuff at the weekends and program the blog posts a week in advance

Take Care

Coffee Filtered ATC’s

Hi there everyone… Happy Thursday to each and every one of you πŸ™‚ I’m now officially on 4 days holiday for easter πŸ™‚

So this evening I headed up the garden path and made some bits n bobs in my wee shed πŸ™‚

ATC’s were on the agenda for this evening and I made 3 all live over on Ustream.. it was a hoot tonight, so a special thankyou to all the girls who came over and kept me company xoxx

Here is the first one I made and this one has its very own “holder”

and then I made the ATC to go on the inside, which I called Clockwork Rabbit

Then I made some background papers from coffee filters that joycie sent me over, I used distress inks, stampin up inks and acrylic paint watered down, whilst following the new colour charts that joyce sent over

Meet Carrot Boy πŸ™‚ this is 1 of 2 I made this evening and this one I made specially for Joycie πŸ™‚

and I nearly forgot to say… I made a homemade bird feeder earlier on this evening using an empty toilet roll tube

Spread with Peanut Butter then roll in crushed nuts and seeds πŸ™‚ then thread onto a branch and the birds will love you forever ❀

the birds will be wiping their beaks on my fences after scoffing this lot πŸ˜‰

Thanks for popping over and have a great easter weekend xx

Vintage Mushroom ATC Series

It’s been a blowy / rainy kinda day here today.. in between hanging out washing and cleaning out the animals I squeezed in a bit of crafting in my workshop today πŸ™‚

I made a set of 6 ATC’s today using the vintage mushroom collage sheets I bought online last week.

I quite fancied doing an ATC swap but wasnt sure what it all entailed,.. so i’ll do a bit of investigating and see what’s what and maybe come back later on next week with a wee swap πŸ˜‰ (if your interested just give me a wee shout).

Loving Life ATC’s

On the menu tonight in the workshop … ATC’s again πŸ™‚ incorporating rub-ons!

I only tend to buy rub-ons when they are on clearance, then I stick them in a drawer and forget I’ve got them {hands head in shame}, so tonight they got a bit of an airing πŸ˜‰

A set of 3 ATC’s and a bonus pink one thrown in for good measure πŸ™‚
