I do love using paper that has a white background, seems to make anything on the front pop.

The paper line used was from Hobbycraft and I picked it up for 99p it is fab quality and quite thick.

The Beach Hut

Hi everyone…

Having a great Saturday?

My Saturday got off to a great start when I attended a craft workshop at Stampers Grove, Grove Street, Edinburgh!

The workshop this week was to make a Mother’s Day Present, and the project was to paint and embelish a wooden house.    I made my house into a wee beach hut, seeing as my mum is no longer with us.

We used Paperartsy paint products and I gave my hut a coat of Paperartsy Fresco Finish Opaque Chalk paint in Mermaid, then added some snowflake to give it a washed out feel 🙂

Sea Shack

There were loads of lovely embelishment’s provided to decorate your houses with, including the fab wooden letters which I painted in snowflake, then gave them a coat of translucent blue and then some of the Paperartsy Crackle Glaze then when I got it home brushed some white fire Silver Treasure Gold.. I love this stuff!

It picks up all the raised bits and gives it such a lovely effect 🙂

I added a few seashells and seaglass to finish off my project once I got home

In next week’s workshop i’m going to be learning how to do Gilding, which I’m really looking forward to 🙂

So if you live in or around the Edinburgh area you should def. check out Stampers Grove Workshops {{click here}}

They also have loads of neat crafting supplies too.. It’s great to be able to go shopping in their store after the workshop finishes each week, plus if you attend a class you can benefit from a discount on the supplies you buy that day!

Watch out for one of my future blog post’s where I share the goodies I bought in the last 2 weeks
