Blushing Roses

Hi everyone..

As most of you that visit my blog may already know, I signed up for the Online Card Classes – Watercolor for card makers course, I have to say it has been the best one yet, providing heaps of hints, tips and fabulous video tutorials.. I am at the cow’s tail, as usual, and working through day 3 and 4, which feature stamping with watercolours..

In the card I made today, I picked a Rose Blush stamp by Indigoblu and coloured the surface of the stamp with various shades of distress markers, I used Barn Door, Picked Raspberry, festive Berries, spun sugar, mowed lawn, evergreen bough and iced spruce, spritzed the stamp with water, then stamped it direct onto some Tim Holtz Watercolour cardstock..

Once It was stamped onto the cardstock, I took a Koi water brush and just blended out the lines of the stamp to give a watercoloured finish.. I do like how this turned out, I chopped it down, edged it in wild honey, and matted it onto some marshmallow cardstock..

then I mounted the finished panel onto a folded piece of Bazill marshmallow cardstock measuring 5″ x 5″ when scored.

Looking forward to working through Day 5 and 6, I will hopefully share these with you all tomorrow
