There is beauty in simplicity

Hi Everyone…

Hope you are all doing well …

Seeing as the weather is so dreich today I went up to my shed and made a wee card after work

I created several brusho backgrounds on Tim Holtz water colour paper a few weeks back, and had a few leftover pieces on my desk.. so decided to make this wee card

leave 1

The card base is 4″ x 4″ with a black card layer followed by the brusho top layer

leave 4

the skeleton leave stamp is from a Paperartsy stamp set by Lin Brown Series 29 and this was stamped directly onto the paper using stazon purple ink

leave 2

The card was assembled and finished off with a Tim Holtz small talk sticker for the sentiment..

I have been busy this week working on my next design team project for colourcraft will be live on their blog on the 17th June at 10am.. i’m excited about it already ๐Ÿ™‚

As always, thanks for popping round, I will try and blog more soon, but if you fancy catching up with me on social media you can see me on Instagram where I post lots of pictures of the dogs, flowers, the fishery and every day life… link is in the side bar ๐Ÿ˜‰

Take care

Happy Birthday Card

Hellloooooo…..

It’s been a while and it seems like I have been absent for ages.. but I have been super busy making wedding invitations.. and they turned out sooo pretty..

So this is me back to bloggy business as usual. ย  ย I am starting off my return with a birthday card, ย I was asked to make this by one of my friends at work.. love how this one came together

flower 1

The card base is 6″ x 6″ and it is a kraft scalloped edge card that I bought at the Ross Papercraft Show a few months back..

flower 2

I used some black cardstock as a layer and some pretty floral patterned paper..

The flower was a packet of basic white flowers from Hobbycraft and I used a sepia coloured spray to give it a touch of colour..

flower 3

I will be back with another blog post soon as I have been asked to make a couple of first communion cards and a wedding card for a couple of friends at work,

As always, thanks for popping round and…. its great to be back ๐Ÿ˜€
