Chunky Polaroid Wallet

I made another polaroid photo wallet this morning for my doggy pictures of Chunky.

chunky1

I used black card stock for the base which I got as a multi pack from Simon Says Stamp,it is their own brand..

The patterned paper is from Glitz Designs, and has a slightly edgy grungy feel to it

chunky3

I bought some wood shapes and alphas when I was over at Stampers Grove on Saturday, love these, and will pick some more up when I visit again next weekend, I inked them up with onyx black ink, but it wouldn’t dry so I covered it with a layer of stampin up crystal effects, which is the same as glossy accents.

chunky2

I filled it with my mini polaroid snaps which measure 2″ X 3 1/4″

chunky4

it is a perfect size to pop into your purse/handbag and you can adapt them for virtually anything… grandchildren, cats, gardening, friends and family snaps πŸ™‚

I have one more of these to make and I will be sure to provide all the measurements for you, I ran out of time today,

As always, thanks for popping round and I will see you next week.

Patchwork Cardstock, Speckled Flowers & Aqua Diamond Dust

I’ve had a lots of fun in the workshop this afternoon, I love having days where I can just potter around and make little bits of this and little bits of that πŸ™‚

Here are a few of my little bits

I had a lot of little scraps of lovely pink cardstock, so rather than wasting them, I made some “Patchwork” cardstock, I also dabbed it with some aqua alcohol ink and silver mixative once the gel medium had dried πŸ™‚

Next I emptied some diamond dust into a little plastic sealable bag and put a few drops of the aqua Adirondak Alcohol Ink into it, now I have lovely blue diamond dust πŸ™‚

Next up were the plain white hydrangea Flowers Β that I got from http://www.iamroses.com in Thailand, I love these and I can now do custom colours on my twisty flowers, this one I tried out the Speckled effect πŸ™‚ Β I used Cosmic Shimmer Mist on this one

Floral/Fibre Card

So earlier on today I covered a piece of heavyweight chipboard with the rainforest fibres

Tonight I turned it into a card.. I didnt stamp a sentiment or message on this one on purpose, as it can be used for several different occasions, or I can stamp something on it at a later date..

This one took me a while to think through what I was going to do with it and it took me about half an hour to decide the cardstock colours etc.. got there eventually πŸ™‚

I love the colours in these fibres they are so vibrant and bright

Supplies list :-

  • American Crafts Textured Cardstock in Stone, Dark Grey and Black
  • Diamond Dust encrusted around the outside edge of the Grey Cardstock
  • Rainforest Fibres from Creative Fibre Arts
  • White Prima Flower sprayed with Peacock Green Cosmic Shimmer Mist
  • Prima Flower Centre
  • Ranger Glossy Accents
  • Dovecraft 12mm Double Sided Tape (to give it an extra bit of dimension & height)
  • Stampin up Dimensional Adhesive Foam Pads
  • Tombow Mono Multi Adhesive

I did manage to get a couple of hours up there from 8.30pm-10.30pm tonight tho and this is what I made..

I took one of the chipboard frame shapes that Deb sent me from the US and I got my bag of scraps out and chopped up some little bits of the paper all different but co-ordinating and covered the frame decoupage stylie πŸ™‚

  • Chipboard Frame from Deb in the US (part of the shoppers without borders swap)
  • Fibres from Creative Fibre Arts in the US (Love these)

  • Basic Grey Hey Friend Stamp
  • Brilliance Metallic Olive Chalk Ink
  • Various little offcuts of patterned papers to decoupage the frame with

Then I took some more of the fibres and made a background for this little heart..

Prima Flowers Sprayed Candy Pink

I ordered some Cosmic Shimmer Mist a good few weeks ago and it finally turned up today, I took 3 small-ish Prima Flowers and sprayed them with the Candy Pink, then dried them out on my radiator in the workshop.. I like the colour and the shine πŸ™‚

I’ll be back tomorrow with another colour… probably the peacock green πŸ™‚
