Altered Bingo Board

Hello everyone, hope your all having a lovely Easter Monday šŸ™‚

Before I head into today’s project, I would like like to congratulate Susan (Dancing Dragon) on becoming a mum, by giving birth to a baby boy today … well done Susan šŸ™‚ Ā  Ā  also I would like to congratulate Mitzi Curry on becoming a Grandma for the first time šŸ™‚ Ā Love to you both and your family.

Today’s project is an altered Bingo Board or Clip Board that Maria sent me last year, I came across it when I was rummaging through my chipboard drawer yesterday šŸ˜‰ … so thank you Maria, I have now put it to good use! Ā  In fact it has gone to very good use as it has got a new home already ….and become a notice board for my mother-in-law’s kitchen…. It is already gift wrapped and on its way there as I type this …

Supplies List :-

  • 1 x Bingo Board / Clip Board
  • Daler & Rowney White Gesso
  • Decoart Spring Green Acrylic Paint
  • Ranger Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint
  • Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden 12 x 12 Patterned Paper
  • Stampin Up Butterfly Embosslit
  • Tonic Studio Butterfly Punch
  • Amber Rhinestones from Wild Orchid Crafts
  • Ranger Glue n Seal Matte Adhesive
  • Diamond Stickles
  • Frayed Burlap Distress Ink

I love the effect on the crackle paint, once its dry, rubbing over some frayed burlap distress ink so that it soaks down into the crackles and gives this neat look…. (you wipe the excess ink off with a damp cloth to restore the top of the project and leave the ink in the cracks) šŸ™‚

in hindsight… I should have used some texture paste to blend out the lines of the paper, so that there were no lines showing… but you live and learn, and I can always remember this for the next one that I make… because I want one now lol

Thanks for Stopping by šŸ™‚

Halloween Boo Banner

This is my final project for this weekend, although I would have loved to have taken part in all the challenges over at YPP, time is not on my side, but the challenges I did take part in I absolutely loved doing.

This is challenge #4 “Reach for the Stars”

Its taken me a good part of a day to make this banner, I had to wait on the paint drying 3 times lol

I started out with just a plain star chipboard album that my friend Natasha sent me, then I covered each star in Gesso, then a layer of White Acrylic Paint, then a layer of Crackle medium, followed by a top coat of Black Acrylic Paint.

I then cut out the alphas on the cricut to spell BOO from the Cricut Home Wall Decor Cartridge, this was then coated in a layer of white acrylic paint, once it was dry the outside edges were spoged in Black Soot Distress Ink, then when that was dry I applied some Gunmetal Distress Stickles.

The Iridescent orange sequins were then hot glued into place and then the letters were stuck down.

Eyelets were set into the holes and then black satin ribbon threaded through to make a banner.

Supplies List :-

  • Star Chipboard Mini Album
  • Daler Rowney Gesso
  • Galeria Titanium White Acrylic Paint
  • Folkart Liquorice Acrylic Paint
  • Folkart Crackle Medium
  • 15mm Black Satin Ribbon
  • Orange Sequins from Hobbycraft
  • Cricut Home Wall Decor Cartridge
  • Tim Holtz Black Soot Distress Ink
  • Tim Holtz Gunmetal Distress Stickles
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • 3 x Eyelets
  • Cropodile
  • and loads of patience waiting on the paint drying šŸ˜‰

Paint & Decoupage

It’s Easter Sunday and I just wanted to wish you all have a wonderful Easter with your Family, Friends and Loved Ones.

I have to say that today has just flown in really quickly, I tidied up my craft workshop, it was a mess :-/ you how it is.. you get so creative that you forget just how much stuff you have pulled out, used and not tidied up lol…

I uploaded a couple of videos onto YouTube of the RAK my friend Micki in South Carolina sent over for me… I just heart everything she sent me (thankyou Micki) šŸ˜€

So once the craft space was cleared I decided to have a play around and try doing some decoupage, I touched the subject lightly last night with the card I made here.

Then I got the chipboard pieces out that Debra sent me and my acrylic paint, paint daubers and crackle paint and really enjoyed doing a spot to painting…. here’s what I got up to

and finally I made this, a wee wall hanging for my workshop.. it;s bright and cheery šŸ™‚
