Never be too proud to serve Frozen Peas…. with flowers

I’ts been a good day today, my January Design Team Package arrived from Wild Orchid Crafts, so I headed up to my workshop and recorded a video of what I received.. you can view it over on Youtube here

I also ran past the sorting office on the way home tonight and picked up a couple of packages that arrived yesterday, but I wasnt in… I ordered some Claudine Hellmuth Multi Medium in Matte as I had completely ran out!    I also ordered some Glitz Design patterned papers which were 50% off … I love using their papers on projects and took full advantage of the fact that they were on sale over at http://www.scrapbookgarden.co.uk

Soo… whilst the video I recorded was uploading onto youtube, and whilst I was watching Nicky / inkyminxy crafting away on Ustream I thought I would try my hand at making a fridge magnet… so here’s what I came up with…

Never to too proud to serve frozen peas… for no one!

I Saw Three Ships…

This afternoon/evening in the shed I made a gift box, 1} as next weeks project for Wild Orchid Crafts and 2} as a decorative christmas box to give my mother in law her pressie on Christmas Day 🙂

It started out its life as a little green soap box and was then repurposed into a lovely wee gift box!

I gave the whole thing a coat of gesso and then several coats of Antique Gold Acrylic Paint, I also stamped french script all over the box in Ranger Sepia Archical Ink.

Then I took some christmas sheet music paper and adhered it to the painted box with matt medium.

The keyhole was given to me by my friend Deb who made some from polymer clay, I gave it a coat of gesso and then painted it with Antique Gold Paint and distressed it with Frayed Burlap distress ink… I used a little metal embelishment dragonfly  for the handle.

Sunday Ramblings

Well… I was woken up early this morning with the postie knocking at the front door and two springer spaniels doing a very good impression of the Hounds of the Baskervilles!    I jumped out of bed that quick that I got cramp in my calf muscle, managed to give the postie a wave out the window to acknowledge him,  he looked up, gave me a wave and left it at the front door 🙂

It was my order from www.scraprevolution.co.uk , I have made a video, but Youtube isn’t playing today and it wont upload.

Later on this afternoon, there was another knock at the door, another postie! with another parcel!!  two in one day yipeeeee…..   This parcel was from the US and Lindys Stamp Gang,  I had entered their Christmas Giveaway and won a Little Lindys Kit 😀

Its been a quick day… I’ve spent a good part of the day faffing around with Ustream, trying to teach myself how to record shows and stuff :-/  I need to practice more lol … and why cant you see yourself when your recording? hmmm plus I was getting loads of squeely feedback through the speakers .. the joys!

I did however make a couple of embelishments .. a rosette flower and a chipboard covered flower with a glass glittered gold star

For the Rosette flower I cut a strip of double sided patterned paper 12″ x 1″ and then scored it at every 1/4″

and the stripey flower is the B side of the above flowery flower

and the other flower is a Papermania Bare Chipboard Flower covered with distressed paper and topped with a gold glass glittered star

Hope your all having a lovely sunday

Lovely Card and Package from Leila…

I received a lovely card and package in the mail on friday from Leila 🙂

I had sent a package to Leila too, but as you have probably read over the last couple of days, our mail has been horrendous and my package has not arrived yet 😦

It was some of the little notepads, you know the ones I alter, so that Leila can have some to alter too, anyways, I will be sending another package of notepads out this week 🙂

Here is the lovely card I received

She also sent some beautiful handmade flowers, some embelishments and a gorgeous stick pin and keyring 🙂

I LOVE the stickpin and keyring and how Leila has used a tag and lovely pink satin ribbon to show them off 🙂
