May Flowers and Summer Sweeties

Hi everyone… i’m back from my holidays, I had a fab time, it was lovely to spend time with my family overseas 🙂

I hit the shops today, I needed to get Chunky a new collar, I wanted a couple of new tops for work and whilst I was there popped into hobbycraft 😉

I picked up a packet of pillow boxes from the wedding section of hobbycraft, as its something I’ve never used or worked with before,  I had to wait until this evening to make something with them as my shed was like an oven in this lovely heatwave we are having 🙂

The first one I made used the Echo Park Hello Spring paper collection, I had a spare piece of the butterfly paper left over from the photo frame project on my previous post, and it made sense to use it up before breaking into another fresh sheet 😉

I added lace and machine stitched the edges then embelished it with one of the accent stickers, which I matted and layered before adhering it to the front of the pillow box

Supplies List :-

  • Pillow Boxes from Hobbycraft
  • Echo Park Hello Spring Collection pack
  • White Lace & Sewing Machine
  • Wild Orchid Crafts Flowers
  • Dimensional Adhesive
  • Scortape
  • Stardust stickles

then I made another one using Wild Honey Distress Ink

I am planning to make another couple of these tomorrow morning and recording the process on Ustream, then I will feature all 4 for on Youtube for my next WOC DT Project …

Supplies Used :-

  • Tim Holtz Wild Honey Distress Ink
  • Heat Gun
  • Yellow Iridescent Butterflies from Wild Orchid Crafts
  • Mulberry Flowers and Pearls from Wild Orchid Crafts
  • Studio G Stamps from Hobbycraft
  • Sepia Archival Ink from Ranger

Thanks for Popping in… Sarah 🙂

Tiny Pink Picture Frame

I have had a right old lazy day today… I got up bright and early, made a trip to the post office and mailed out all my packages..

Then took a drive to a local Hobbycraft and picked up a few bits n bobs,.. one of which, was this papier mache bare chipboard hanging photo frame… it looks really easy to make so will try and replicate creating one tomorrow 🙂

I took the frame and gave it a couple of coats of Rose Pink Acrylic Paint..

Supplies List :-

  • Docrafts Artiste Rose Pink Acrylic Paint
  • Tim Holtz Coredinations Kraft Distress Cardstock
  • Prima Botanical Flower

Scrap Paper, that carrot and a Scabby Cat

I signed up last year as a member of YPP, and my attendance record has been shocking lately, so I headed back over there last week.

They have loads of different groups on the go and I joined a couple 🙂

The first one is The Stash Diet Challenge, which is great for me as it’s a video/photo response that’s required, this months challenge is all about creating things or finishing off projects using up all your offcuts and scraps of paper!

So here’s what I made tonight with all the scraps that I had leftover from making cards this weekend.

not this cat tho’ he may be the same colour as the one above, but this wee man is cute and fluffy 😉 … meet Jerry

Then I had a couple of offcuts of 12 x 12 so made more of these rosette flowers, with heart centres

Love the shabby look of the second one

If you watch out at the end of this week I’ll have a video up on Youtube showing all the things I created from “that” scrap bag 😉
