Vintage Valentine Trio…

I promised yesterday that I would do a Ustream class on making valentines cards, so after I went swimming, I headed up to the workshop at 11am and made 3 cards.. the first two are recorded and you can find the video over at Ustream, link opposite 🙂

Distressed and Woven Hearts

Happy New Years Eve everyone!

Up in the shed this morning I made another couple of valentine cards… I’d had a dream or sleepy thoughts on what I was going to made today and had decided that I would make a few valentine cards all different shapes/sizes and flavours 🙂

The first card is a woven heart.. I cut strips of paper 1cm wide and did a bit of a weave with them… I then die cut a sizzix heart and glued the weave to it 🙂 … the rest of the card is fairly simple, a bit of a stamped background and dabbed the edges of the card with some chalk ink..

Supplies List :-

  • 1 x Papermania 3 x 3 Card and Envelope
  • Versamagic Pixie Dust Chalk Ink
  • Papermania Urban Stamp Set
  • Various scraps of pink patterned paper
  • Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive
  • Brayer to flatten it out and stick it down
  • Docrafts Artiste Glitter Varnish (its a bit like sparkle mod podge)
  • the sentiment was just typed and printed out onto cream cardstock
  • Basic Grey heart trio for the envelope

The second card is a masculine one with a distressed heart and I also used one of my new Stampin Up! brads…
