Hi Everyone!

I have been up in my shed for most of the day with the dogs.. the sun is shining and it’s a lovely day to be sitting crafting outside.

I made a wee card and envelope, which I can share with you now..the other stuff is work in progress and not ready yet ๐Ÿ˜‰

I have gone for a natural look with this card.. which is 4″ x 4″

  • Kraft cardstock
  • Natural Mulberry Paper (with bits in it)
  • Deep Red Stamp “Live,Laugh, Love,Bark,Meow”
  • Hero Arts Cup o’ Joe Shaddow Ink
  • Double Sided Tape
  • Damask Patterned Paper made into a policy style envelope

I think my next post will be on the paper size and scorelines for policy envelopes to fit 4″ x 4″ cards

Some Pins and a wee bit Emboss Resisting :-)

In the workshop today I have been having a play around, trying a wee bit of this and a wee bit of that ๐Ÿ˜€

Here are some of the things I’ve made:

A couple of Pins, nothing too fancy, plain and simple, just how I like it ๐Ÿ™‚ , these are the purple beads I got from the charity shop earlier on this year….

Did you notice the background they are resting on? ย  I made that today too ๐Ÿ™‚ a wee bit emboss resist with the holographic embossing powders I got on Thursday night…

I wondered what I could make with it, and came up with an idea, plus to use up scraps, another notepad lol…… but the blank papers inside are cold pressed watercolour papers, with a gorgeous texture… and of course those dinky wee roses are featured again ๐Ÿ™‚

Materials Used :~

  • K & Company Sea Glass Patterned Paper (scrap)
  • Rowney & Daler Cold Pressed Water Colour Paper
  • Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Broken China and Shabby Shutters
  • Papermania Holographic Embossing Powder
  • Versamark
  • Heat Gun
  • Hot Glue Gun {{CAUTION Required lol }}
  • 4 x Wild Orchid Crafts 10mm Green Tone Roses
  • Green Fibre for the Binding
  • Cropodile to punch holes out for the binding
  • Stamp is ย a woodblock background Stamp from Hero Arts

To Have and to Hold Card

Getting back into the swing of things again…. can be hard ๐Ÿ˜‰ ย I’m still on a mission with using up scraps of cardstock and patterned paper from the bottomless pit scrap bag lol

I have no idea where the inspiration came from for this card… well I half do, ย you see…I was looking at the flowers I bought from Wild Orchid Crafts, because Robyn had done a Youtube video on them the other day, and the blue cherry blossom’s caught my eye…. then from the scrap pile I saw some patterned K & Co wedding paper, that I had left over, when I made a wedding card about 2 years ago!!

So without further adoooo here is the card I made this afternoon… “to have and to hold” ย … I might just stick it on my Folksy Shop as I don’t know anyone that’s getting married ๐Ÿ™‚

Stamping & Colouring

I fancied a wee change tonight, so I did a bit of colouring-in … and.. I managed to stay in the lines lol

I loved colouring in as a kid and always had loads of colouring books, crayons, felt tip pens and coloured pencils, used to keep me quiet for hours and hours…

I bought a Hero Arts Stamp Set a while ago because I got it half price and the stamps were cute, I used them tonight, and I have a feeling they will be back out before long ๐Ÿ™‚
