Shabby Sunday #11 – Happy Mother’s Day

Shabby Sunday #11 – Happy Mothers Day

On this week’s shabby Sunday I made a card for my mother in law…. I asked my hubby “what do you want on the card?” his reply “Pink, Cream, Gilding and a rabbit!!” ย pfft.. remind me next time not to ask lol

Just as well I attended a workshop on gilding yesterday in Edinburgh at Stampers Grove!

So armed with my new techniques .. I trotted off up to my shed to make the card..

Shabby Sunday #11

It’s pink, there is cream, and gilding, but the rabbit is nowhere to be seen… he got a butterfy instead!

Take Me Away…

WOW! ย I had thee best day ever yesterday!

Last night I took part in a live Ustream virtual crop with Your Paper Pantry, it was the most fun ever, and all the girls over there as just soooo nice, a special thankyou to Roxy for having me and a bigger special thankyou to Natasha for the nudge ๐Ÿ˜‰

Earlier on that Day, I had stuck my Ustream channel on and was just doing a live feed from my workshop, I was pottering around, glittering hearts, mounting my unmounted stamps on cling mount, then Robyn (Injoystampin) and Melissa (Godsmixedmediagirl) & Tina Hales (YPP & Youtube) popped in thank you so much for keeping me company girls, sooo appreciated!

Then Tina disappeared and came back with all the lovely girls from YPP, forgive me if I miss your name out, but ย the 2 i do remember were Nancy (thenikelnook), Christina (cabettsutubeuser).. I made the following card “Take Me Away”…

Supplies List :~

  • Light Blue Cardstock from Stampin Up
  • Glitz Design Love Nest Patterned Paper
  • Glitz Design Love Nest Cardstock Stickers
  • Seam Binding
  • German Glass Glittered Star
  • Kraft Cardstock
  • ATG Gun
  • Colorbox Cocoa Chalk Ink

Once this card was finished I asked the ladies watching if they had any requests for a card that they would like to see be made kinda “off the cuff” and I forget who requested a Mothers Day Card (might have been Robyn)… ๐Ÿ˜‰ So here it is..

I used the Kaisercraft Devonshire 6″ x 6″ paper stack, which was great because not only does it have gorgeous papers, it also has some die cut sheets at the back, which provided the sentiment layera and a border strip ๐Ÿ™‚

Supplies List :-

  • Kaisercraft Devonshire 6 x 6 paper Pack
  • Bazzill Craft Cardstock cut to make a card size 5″ x 5″
  • Seam Binding ~ Champagne
  • German Glass Glittered Star in Gold

Apoligies for the extra long post today… I had a lot to cram in and loads of people to thank ๐Ÿ™‚

Sarah xoxo
