Wee Wooly Flower

Wee Wooly Flower.

wee wooly flower

Hi everyone!

How have you all been?

I am easing myself  back into crafting again slowly, after having spent the most wonderful time down at Indigoblu HQ doing a demonstrator course.        I have learned sooo much in my time away, and brought back so many lovely new things to craft with and ideas for projects that I want to do,  that I really don’t know where to start or what to make first!

So guess what?

I decided to make a wee wooly flower from some gorgeous Merino wool,  just to help me along the way 🙂  Love how it turned out and if I can perfect my technique and get them a wee bit skinnier, then I will make some cards with them.

I am planning to head up to my shed after tea tonight and get started with making some projects for Indigoblu.. I have a Manequin torso and stand to finish.    I also have the new christmas release stamps to play with and create a card for the Indigoblu challenge blog for this month, which is Christmas in July!

It is going to be a busy evening 🙂

As always, thank you so much for popping in

Bless your Wee Wooly Heart

Bless your wee wooly heart…

I {{heart}} felting so much… I have more idea’s in mind for future projects, and I am excited to get started with these, but need to wait on “felty stuffs” arriving in the mail before I can do anything else….. maybe 😉   (just thought of something lol)

So…. last night whilst wee wooly gingerbread guy was in progress, I remembered I had a star cookie cutter in the back of the kitchen drawer!… and before I knew it, i had 2 projects on the go at once lol

I waited until this morning to finish the star off because I needed some silver thread and beads from my shed

I love how it turned out.. this is the last of the sheep wool that I was given, I need to order more of the same because I want to make more of these to put on my christmas tree this year.    In fact I might even get a real tree this year because these stars would be perfect!   I may put some on my Etsy Shop too, the shelves over there have been bare for a loooong time 🙂

As always, thanks for popping round

See you soon!

A Wee Wooly Heart

A Wee Wooly Heart….

Hello everyone!

Guess what?

I tried needle felting for the very first time on Sunday!.. I think i’m hooked 😉

We had travelled up to the Scottish Game Fair at Scone Palace in Perthshire and I drifted into the craft marquee…got chatting to a few of the lovely crafters and came home with 2 felting needles, some sheep wool and large bag of Alpaca fleece!

I have to give a huge big thank you to Patsy from Blackbird Felt who was so kind and took time to explain all things felting to me, and gave me a couple of needles and a piece of sheep wool to have a go and see if I liked it …. (I did and i’m hooked)

It was also lovely to meet Alison from Balnuith Alpacas, I bought a big bag of fleece to take home and start felting.. if you click on this link here it will take you to their facebook page.

Here is the fleece I bought, thank you Kiwi for your lovely fleece, they even put a picture in of the alpaca that gave up it’s wee coat so that you can craft with it, how cool is that!

I have since been online and bought a few bits n bobs to help me on my way… 😉   and I spent some time tonight to create this wee wooly heart.. it is work in progress, but I was itching to share it with you all.. because I hate not sharing 😉 and I was bursting at the seams to blog it lol.

It is about 2″ square (if you know what i mean) and I have plans for this little beauty 🙂 hopefully by the end of the week I will have finished it and will be able to share the finished project.

As always, thanks so much for popping round and listening to my excited ramblings about something else crafty that I have discovered

See you soon
