Smile Mini Book

Helllloooooo….

It’s time for a smile.. i’m back in my shed again after being absent for a few months!

I wanted to ease myself back into crafting mode again so picked something that would come together quite quickly and wasn’t too big a project..

smile 1

I used my bind it all for the closure and corrugated cardboard for the front and back covers..

smile2

I also made small policy type / scrapalope envelopes for the inside from Prima Boheimian Rhapsody 6×6 patterned paper

smile 4

I used velcro closures under each flap of the envelopes to keep them closed nice and snug

Gardening Forever.. Housework Whenever Notepad

We still have no heating… although the engineer is supposed to be here today between 12pm and 6pm, so until then, I have to craft in the lounge, as that’s where my workshop heaters will remain until the house gas central heating is resumed.

Remember that gardening paper stack, journalling spots and rub-ons I bought the other week half price.. well they were in amongst a pile of stuff I brought down from the workshop… so I decided to make a notepad with them today 🙂   I will be keeping the rest of them to make a gardening mini next year to record all the stuff I grow 🙂

Supplies List :~

  • Stampin Up Blue Cardstock from the Earth Elements Pack
  • Born to Shop “Go Green” A5 Patterned Paper & Glitter Transfer Stickers
  • Small Supermarket Notepad
  • Dimensional Adhesive Squares
  • ATG 700 Gun

Some Pins and a wee bit Emboss Resisting :-)

In the workshop today I have been having a play around, trying a wee bit of this and a wee bit of that 😀

Here are some of the things I’ve made:

A couple of Pins, nothing too fancy, plain and simple, just how I like it 🙂 , these are the purple beads I got from the charity shop earlier on this year….

Did you notice the background they are resting on?   I made that today too 🙂 a wee bit emboss resist with the holographic embossing powders I got on Thursday night…

I wondered what I could make with it, and came up with an idea, plus to use up scraps, another notepad lol…… but the blank papers inside are cold pressed watercolour papers, with a gorgeous texture… and of course those dinky wee roses are featured again 🙂

Materials Used :~

  • K & Company Sea Glass Patterned Paper (scrap)
  • Rowney & Daler Cold Pressed Water Colour Paper
  • Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Broken China and Shabby Shutters
  • Papermania Holographic Embossing Powder
  • Versamark

I like to buy the cheap noteboooks from the supermarket and then give them a wee makeover 🙂

They are inexpensive and once altered they make lovely gifts or even great stocking fillers for Christmas!

Supplies List Used :-

  • Cheap Supermarket Notebook 207mm x 73mm
  • K & Co Seaglass Patterned Paper
  • 3 x Green tone Roses from Wild Orchid Crafts
  • Hot Glue Gun
