Gone to Pot!

Hi everyone!

Bit of an early post for me tonight and it’s a pic heavy long one!

Once I got home from work and fed the dogs, I went straight up to my shed to make tonight’s wee project!

Remember that wee bare pot from yesterday’s blog post?…

It’s not bare anymore πŸ˜‰

pot

Firstly I took some Paperartsy Snowflake opaque Fresco Finish Chalk Paint and painted it inside and out

Next I took some left over paper scraps from the rosettes I made last week, and tore them into narrow strips, this paper line is by Glitz Designs

I then glued the strips to the outer edge of the wee plant pot

Time for some shaved ice… I applied Β glue around the rim of the pot with Cosmic Shimmer Specialist Acrylic Glue and sprinkled on the shaved ice

Next we have some vintage cotton lace from Jaizella’s Etsy Store which is called Lavish Laces Β and I inked around the bottom edge of the pot with vintage photo distress ink

Added a rosette .. I made these over a week ago.. this is the one edged in stickles

and then we are done!

Decorating these little peat pots from your local garden centre adds a little bit of sparkle to giving gifts, you can fill them up with sweeties/candies/chocolates and wrap them in cellophane or pop them into clear gift bags and tie them with pretty ribbons and twine

I hope you liked this wee project, and see you again tomorrow πŸ™‚

Thanks for popping round

Christmas Medallions

Hi everyone, hope you all had a good weekend… apologies for not having much crafty stuff to share with you all, but work has been crazy busy and i have not had time to do much else than work, eat and go to bed πŸ˜‰

I ordered a new die and it arrived last week, it’s the medallion die by Brenda Walton.. so I finally got a chance to play with it today..

I used some SEI christmas patterned papers from the silver valley collection

I also added some felt flowers that I have had in my stash for a very looong time by 3 bugs in a rug, and some wild orchid crafts resin flower embelishments.

I’m planning to add these to tags and christmas cards

I also used one of the self adhesive embelishments from the same paper collection (bottom right medallion)

If work calms down next week i’m hoping to make some christmas cards in the evenings πŸ™‚

Thanks for popping in

Scrap Paper, that carrot and a Scabby Cat

I signed up last year as a member of YPP, and my attendance record has been shocking lately, so I headed back over there last week.

They have loads of different groups on the go and I joined a couple πŸ™‚

The first one is The Stash Diet Challenge, which is great for me as it’s a video/photo response that’s required, this months challenge is all about creating things or finishing off projects using up all your offcuts and scraps of paper!

So here’s what I made tonight with all the scraps that I had leftover from making cards this weekend.

not this cat tho’ he may be the same colour as the one above, but this wee man is cute and fluffy πŸ˜‰ … meet Jerry

Then I had a couple of offcuts of 12 x 12 so made more of these rosette flowers, with heart centres

Love the shabby look of the second one

If you watch out at the end of this week I’ll have a video up on Youtube showing all the things I created from “that” scrap bag πŸ˜‰
