It’s all Good!

I had a right good old tidy up in my workshop tonight, it was an absolute tip!!

I put the sewing machine back into its table, I put away all the paper packs and pads that I’d bought a month or so ago (hangs head in shame) lol, hoovered the floor, dusted my desk and put away all the stickles, bottles of glue, cosmic shimmers and stuff that was cluttering my desk 🙂

Then I made a quick card from the scraps pile and used a stamp that my friend Deb had sent over for me, which is the name of her Blog ……. It’s All Good!

Supplies List :-

  • Red Stampin Up Cardstock leftover measures 6″ x 3″ scored to make a 3″ x 3″ Card
  • Cosmo Cricket Jolly by Golly Patterned Paper Scrap
  • Daler & Rowney Watercolour Paper scrap
  • Daisy Bucket “Its All Good” Clear Stamp
  • Versamark Pigment Ink in Rhubarb
  • Color Box Chalk Ink in Alabaster

To Have and to Hold Card

Getting back into the swing of things again…. can be hard 😉  I’m still on a mission with using up scraps of cardstock and patterned paper from the bottomless pit scrap bag lol

I have no idea where the inspiration came from for this card… well I half do,  you see…I was looking at the flowers I bought from Wild Orchid Crafts, because Robyn had done a Youtube video on them the other day, and the blue cherry blossom’s caught my eye…. then from the scrap pile I saw some patterned K & Co wedding paper, that I had left over, when I made a wedding card about 2 years ago!!

So without further adoooo here is the card I made this afternoon… “to have and to hold”  … I might just stick it on my Folksy Shop as I don’t know anyone that’s getting married 🙂

Supplies List :-

  • Stampin Up Cardstock for the base (scrap)
  • K & Co. Wedding Paper with the edges roughed up (scrap)
  • American Crafts Textured White Cardstock (scrap)
  • Blue Ribbon, reclaimed off something I bought and saved.
  • Hero Arts Clear Stamp Set
  • Versamagic Agean Blue Chalk Ink
  • Corner Chomper
  • Wild Orchid Crafts – Blue Cherry Blossom
  • Scotch ATG
  • Hot Glue Gun

Scraps and Shops

YAY!! I finally got rid of my second cold virus, my daughter and I had been miserable all weekend, sniffing and snottering and generally feeling sorry for ourselves lol…… were back up and running again and rearing to go 😉

It’s getting so dark in the evenings now isn’t it!!… So I went up to the workshop tonight and brought down the scraps bag and had a good old sort through, colours, then big bits and wee bits 🙂

The big bits I cut to size for scrapalopes, scored them and cut out the template, just ready to be assembled, the smaller bits of paper and card were run through the big shot with nestabilities labels 1 as address labels if used with patterned papers etc…

I have a long way to go before all my scraps are used up, but I am determined not to break open any new sheets until I have made a substantial dent in the scrap bag!!   … I’ll take bets now, that i’m still at it at Christmas lol

Then…..

I listed a card on my Folksy Shop, My sister reckons I should “get my butt into gear” and get a shop opened up, but you know what it’s like, there are so many people out there selling their cards the market is tough…..

Anyway, I have listed one so far, what have I got to lose?

Here’s the link to my shop of you fancy a wee nosey in 🙂

Love Hearts, Sinful Scrap Bag & Painted Chipboard

It’s been a night of pondering and faffing about in my workshop.

Started off by getting hubby to remove 2 big spiders that were hiding behind my tub of diamond dust.

I then took a look at the bag that currently houses all my scraps and offcuts of patterned paper, cardstock etc, and decided to shame myself on my blog of just how much I had managed to cram into that 12 x 12 plastic layout bag lol (below)

Oh my goodness… where is the blush icon when you need one !!

Then I decided that cracking open that new pad of prima patterned paper was a bad idea, given the contents of the above bag, and I settled down to make a scrappy challenge card out of said bag 😀

Supplies Used :-

  • Papermania Textured Pink Cardstock x 2 different shades
  • Woodware Heart Punch
  • The Sewing Machine (still had pink thread in it from the weekend)
  • Diamond Stickles
  • Brilliance Coffee Bean Ink

I think that tomorrow night i’m going to sort through the scraps sin bag, separate into colours and then spend the rest of this week and next making cards and envelopes to stick on my Folksy Store seeing as its empty!

I also painted some chipboard flower shapes tonight, base coated with Gesso, then a layer of acrylic paint / adirondak paint daubers etc to start making my own flower embellies, they are not finished yet, but thought I would share the progress I’d made so far
