Shabby Chic Stick Pin Display’s

Hi everyone… Happy Monday to you all 🙂 everyone happy to be back to work today?

Tonight up in my shed I needed to make something in order to display my stick pins…

I took a large polystyrene / styrofoam ball and cut it in half, placed a cardstock circle on the base and a layer of felt on top of the cardtock… then I took some more of the felt, some pink lace and some flower trim et voila!  Instant shabby chic stick pin display units 🙂

I made 2… one for ordinary pins and the other one for my flower pins..

and the ordinary decorative pins

and both together ..

I also made some more.. well 8 pink flower pins tonight, and share them tomorrow once they are completely dry 🙂

Thanks so much for dropping by 🙂

Buttons and Boxes…

Day 1 of my long 4 day weekend 🙂 … I had a lovely long lay in bed, a spot of late brekkie then headed up the garden to my shed..

I switched Ustream on and had a lovely afternoon chatting and crafting..

First up, and in keeping with the Use it Up (UIU) Pledge,  I painted and decorated some cloths pegs that I had been lying on my desk for a long time, so with a lick of paint, some patterned paper and a couple of vintage buttons they were transformed from bare wood, so something quite special…

Then with some of the patterned paper left over I made a small card..

and with the other bits left over from making the card I made a tag

and everything together…

Supplies used:-

  • Tea Pink Acrylic Paint
  • Vintage Buttons
  • Vintage Pink Lace
  • Basic Grey Patterned Paper
  • Burlap
  • linen thread
  • flower punch
  • diecut pearlescent frame from Helen
  • pink seam binding
  • Claudine hellmuth multi medium in matte
  • scortape

Next up I altered a box… these wee boxes are gorgeous they are leather and suede lined…perfect to alter..

I promised the Ustream girls a giveaway of a box to alter… so I have 2 to give away, both red, one square and one oval, all you need to do to be entered for the giveaway is to leave a message here with the “code” word I gave on the stream today and i’ll pick 2 winners tonight 🙂

Good luck and happy crafting everyone xx
