Scrap Paper, that carrot and a Scabby Cat

I signed up last year as a member of YPP, and my attendance record has been shocking lately, so I headed back over there last week.

They have loads of different groups on the go and I joined a couple πŸ™‚

The first one is The Stash Diet Challenge, which is great for me as it’s a video/photo response that’s required, this months challenge is all about creating things or finishing off projects using up all your offcuts and scraps of paper!

So here’s what I made tonight with all the scraps that I had leftover from making cards this weekend.

not this cat tho’ he may be the same colour as the one above, but this wee man is cute and fluffy πŸ˜‰ … meet Jerry

Then I had a couple of offcuts of 12 x 12 so made more of these rosette flowers, with heart centres

Love the shabby look of the second one

If you watch out at the end of this week I’ll have a video up on Youtube showing all the things I created from “that” scrap bag πŸ˜‰

. . . Have a Yummy Christmas

Its been one of those nights in the workshop where I have sat and stared out the window thinking about things, and wondering what to make… do you think it’s because my feet were freezing cold?

I did manage to make this wee card tho, I really like the Christmas pud, I just made my own embellishment by copying the pud on the patterend paper πŸ™‚

Scraps and Shops

YAY!! I finally got rid of my second cold virus, my daughter and I had been miserable all weekend, sniffing and snottering and generally feeling sorry for ourselves lol…… were back up and running again and rearing to go πŸ˜‰

It’s getting so dark in the evenings now isn’t it!!… So I went up to the workshop tonight and brought down the scraps bag and had a good old sort through, colours, then big bits and wee bits πŸ™‚

The big bits I cut to size for scrapalopes, scored them and cut out the template, just ready to be assembled, the smaller bits of paper and card were run through the big shot with nestabilities labels 1 as address labels if used with patterned papers etc…

I have a long way to go before all my scraps are used up, but I am determined not to break open any new sheets until I have made a substantial dent in the scrap bag!! Β  … I’ll take bets now, that i’m still at it at Christmas lol

Then…..

I listed a card on my Folksy Shop, My sister reckons I should “get my butt into gear” and get a shop opened up, but you know what it’s like, there are so many people out there selling their cards the market is tough…..

Anyway, I have listed one so far, what have I got to lose?

Here’s the link to my shop of you fancy a wee nosey in πŸ™‚
